I was just sent a message by Ebay that I am in the next group of sellers to be switched over from GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM to the NEW EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROGRAM. I have been very happy using EBAY GSP, I am not sure I want to change over. Does anyone with experience being in this new program have any information to share about negative experiences? and is there anywat to opt out ahead of time from this new program?

I was all gung ho for it a few months back and expressed an interest in it
I had stopped selling international about a year ago due to losses
I started up again with EISD a couple of months ago in hopes that it would get me an offer to use it
I have read all there is too read about it
recently I learned that it cant be used with auctions, that is a bummer for me since I rarely do anything else.
its also capped at $500 max or so I have heard

I just had a 2 pound package going to Europe. EISP was $22.00,. Pirateship was $18.99.

I sent an expensive item about $700 with Ebay Global Shipping. It never reached Italy. Turns out the shipping insurance Ebay uses only covers $100. Ebay closes INR case in Buyers favor, refunded a Buyer out of MY funds. So now I lost expensive item and the money $750 plus $99 the Final amount fee was never returned to my account by Ebay after the refund.
Ebay and their shipping company lost an item and put me at fault to pay for something that was clear Ebay's responsibility.
After at least 10 calls with Ebay, lost appeal decision ( which falsely stated that I did not provide shipping information, which is not true of course), Ebay still never responded - Every time I call they just take notes and send it somewhere to the hole. Nobody ever calls back.

What is weird is that all information about the eBay International standard delivery program seems to say that if they lose your package you have to repay the buyer out of your own funds and then do a claim to try to get the money back and it will cover the cost of the item but not the shipping cost.
However both times they have lost my packages eBay has closed the INR and refunded the buyer all costs for me without taking my funds.
So I feel pretty safe using them although my packages are usually under $50.

if u used an ebay international method, and your package got delivered to one of the domestic consolidation centers, then your package is considered 'delivered' and eBay takes over the responsibility from there.

As well as making your items available to buyers in over 200 countries, there are several other benefits to using eBay International Shipping:

Is there any way to see what the prices of eBay international will be to each country? Trying to decide if this is worth it over Pirate Ship's international options.

In another post of yours you stated that you used ebay international Shipping. Which service did you use?

If the service came up with $100 insurance than they used ebay international standard. That is the only that specifies insurance.
