USPS

USPS is so slow and lacking in tracking details, especially items shipped from the East Coast. Sellers on the East Coast please use a different shipper. I'm begging you.

Ebay should encourage shippers to use alternate shipping methods.

Given the rates (I sell larger items), I have been doing FedEx ground east coast to west coast.

Wouldnt make sense for sellers to ship small pkgs by FedEx, or UPS.

You seem a little obsessed with shipping times in the feedback you leave. And tracking is for the sellers benefit, to prove delivery, not the buyers. Ebay doesnt require sellers to provide tracking. If you dont receive your item in a few days after estimated delivery, then file an item not received..case closed.

Why would you pick that comment as the solution? Odd.

I understand your frustration. With most websites requiring a tracking number to show when the heck you will be getting something it totally amazes me that people can sell things on here with no account of when the shipment is arriving. That is just BAD BUSINESS.

" people can sell things on here with no account of when the shipment is arriving."

Seriously? Everything sold here has an estimated delivery date right on the statement. Its also visible before you click purchase. That is not even taking into account the always possible potential weather  or pandemic delays. Most sellers would be happy to use another expedited service, and usually offer it, if the customer is willing to pay for it. Is it worth $40 to have a $10 item over-nighted to you?

Tagging on:

Following a package from purchase to delivery by watching that tracking info will lead a buyer

to nothing but heartache and disappointment.

If there's a blizzard that slows down the USPS,    It will also slow down UPS and FEDEX

If I'm in a hurry,    I certainly don't buy it off the internet.   But I'm never in a hurry.

Buyers can read the listing and choose to buy or not top buy if they do not like the  shipping details.

Buyers are required to do so BEFORE committing. Sellers are NOT required to ship by a specific shipping company.

Tell me @lionmike929, do you feel strongly enough about this that you're willing to spend $17 shipping for a package shipped UPS that can ship $6 with USPS?
