Rather the just complain lets start a thread to show real examples and demonstrate the actual events ocurring.

As a buyer:

11 days and no word: package mailed 12/7 NYC. Scanned 12/9 Jersey City, NJ 12/9 Current status "in transit arriving late" destination DC area.

As a seller:

Four days to scan a package: Dropped at DC area Post Office 12/15 first origin scan ( this would be at receiving PO) 12/19 Current status processed through a DC facility 12/19

Non eBay package:

10 Days and package headed wrong direction: USPS picked item in IL headed for DC area 12/10. Arrived at Champaign, Il Distribution Center 12/14. Arrived Omha, NE 12/15 (why it went west not east a mystery). Last update: the dreaded "YOUR PACKAGE WILL ARRIVE LATER THAN EXPECTED, BUT IS STILL ON ITS WAY. IT IS CURRENTLY IN TRANSIT TO THE NEXT FACILITY."

I have three packages that have not moved for 20 days or more and one that has not moved in 12 days, even with package inquiries opened. Another five that I mailed AFTER the 20th haven't moved in nearly seven days. I also have 2 more packages that are taking the EXTREMELY slow route to their destinations.

I've only shipped about 55 packages via USPS in the past month. Almost everything was late, but 20% with SERIOUS issues is beyond the pale.

Update: YES....to me

The Buyer filed an INR case after 2 weeks so I was forced to refund him. I had the package intercepted. It was the first time I had ever done this so I was very skeptical it would work.

The package took 23 days NY to Ohio and 8 days to come back. The Buyer got a good deal on a super rare Dark Crystal board game but was impatient so it's actually his loss.

Package taken to local Post Office on December 21, 2020. Processed through Elk Grove Village facility December 22 and still stuck there for the past two weeks. It is now January 4, 2020.

I shipped a package to South Africa back in March,19,2020. I figured it would be late, let the buyer know and he was understanding. I kept checking week after week. Still in Jamica NY post office. It never arrived, the tracking number 'timed out' so I refunded the buyer and lost money.

On 12-20 -2020 shipped another package, this time to Oregon. It shows delivered on 1-2-2021. Buyer never received it, her post office said it was delivered to wrong address and I will need to follow up. Just filed for a refund and come to find out USPS priority has no insurance for this tracking number. How can that be? Doesn't all priority come with insurance? Getting tired of loosing money because of the usps incompetence.

I've got a package I've bought. Sent 12/10. It reached Philly about 12/26 but has been in transit, arriving late for over a week now from there. Before it was in transit, arriving late from Michigan for most of the time.

I hate to file a case, but this is a media mail package and I am afraid it may show up a long time from now. If I have to file a case, I will definitely at least send the seller there money back if the package shows up, since it is truly not their fault and not really USPS fault either.

I hope the post office can get through their backlog. I'd love to go back to selling, but I refuse to chance it while things are crazy like this. Every package I have ordered has been showing up really late.

Don't know. But good to have a record or send your congress perosn a link to show that there actually is and remains a problem.

I got something from Amazon.com today which I ordered last week. I got one thing from Ebay that I ordered 12/15/2020. I ordered some other things which I haven't gotten yet. Tracking shows the item went to one place, but hasn't been updated for a while.

Me too, lots of packages the USPS black hole! All scanned and sitting somewhere in Maryland (my state). Right now I have 3 asking for their money back. I REFUSE! I spoke with eBay at the beginning of this issue and ask that they remove the "delivery grantee" listed on every page. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE USPS.

eBay YOU BETTER STEP UP AND PROTECT US SELLERS!!! We did our part, got order out the door on time, it's not our fault the PO is having issues. If the customer requires a refund then let it come out of your pocket.

Lucky for me I sell very little here, and I'm fine with that because just like this issue eBay doesn't protect me as a seller, so I'm ready to pull the plug here. I do hundreds of orders per month on Facebook with cheaper flat rate seller fees and cheap flat rate shipping, AND FB has protected me from scammers! Unlike eBay.
