USPS Shipping Issues Post Office not scanning for days

I have an issue with my post office not scanning my scan forms and holding my packages for several days before acknowledging them. It looks like I am not shipping for days after the label is created. This has been sporadic during the whole pandemic. But now it is almost every package and longer lag times. The clerks and carriers are refusing most of the time.  I have called supervisors and my post master it is falling on death ears. It seems like they are very short staffed and just are ignoring scanning. I changed my handling time to three days early on during the pandemic even though I still ship quickly. I gave up my TSR as I was trying to prevent problems with customers and my Ebay account. I realize I am not alone in this I see other complaints with the same issues. However my concern is how Ebay is going to handle this.  Requirement to be protected is a scan within the handling time. I am nervous that my account is going to fall below standard for the first time in all my years on Ebay.  Plus the amount of negative feedback that I possibly could get.

I had a similar issue.  It took 7 days for a small 1st class package to go from Texas to Oklahoma.  Final destination

is the Northeast.   Package was scanned in Oklahoma after MIA for a whole week.  The buyer is being very patient but I've already suggested that at this rate he may not receive his package until mid next week.

Just for info........you can take the PO to the window and ask for a receipt......they will have to scan.......would help them to use a scan form if you are mailing alot........

Actually if you have pre labeled packages a lot of post offices are not scanning in a scan form. They tell you "Leave it all there we will get to it" This is after spending an hour+ in line. You can moan groan and ask for whoever you want but facts are they are not gonna do anything more. Also, I like many others don't have an hour or more to stand in line to argue with postal employees who are already over worked. These lines are also not safe to stand in as there is no proper distancing due to people flooding in and out of the post office. What I did instead is contacted Ebay and had them escalate my stuff up the flag pole. Waiting on an answer now.

Im having same problem. One shipment went across the country and back. 3 weeks total. Not scanning packages, ive handed the package to them watch them scan, got a receipt, and still took days to see movement. This has been in sept-nov-now dec!

USPS has been terrible the past 2 weeks. First the issue with not being able to print Parcel Select postage, then the horrendous delays in service. I sold an item late Sat Nov. 28th, shipped on Monday Dec 1 and it was finally delivered (across the state) yesterday, Dec. 11th!

Also, mailed my daughter's birthday gifts on Dec. 1st Parcel Select ($54) and they still have not arrived - and tracking today (Dec. 12) still doesn't show there they are.  Her birthday was the 9th.

Soooo... I've switched most of my shipping to FedEx Home or UPS Ground. Fortunately I have a drop-off close by, and everything I've shipped has been delivered within 3-4 days.

Maybe the postal service shouldn't have removed all those sorting machines and loaded them in the dumpsters.

The inability to purchase Parcel Select postage is one thing you can't pin on USPS. It's still available from all other postage sellers besides eBay (PayPal. stamps.com, endicia, etc.).  eBay has deliberately decided to phase out access to purchasing Parcel Select postage labels through eBay shipping.

I'm not sure why you even want to use it.  For Zones 1 - 4 it costs literally 10 cents less than an online Priority Mail label, and for farther Zones the savings is still always under $1.  Plus you get insurance and maybe a free box.

Of course they shouldn't have disabled their machinery.  That was deliberate sabotage.

It looks like USPS is not improving.  I mailed a first class package December 1st. Stood in line and got the package scanned and the tracking only shows that the USPS was in receipt of the package December 1st. There is a December 5th message that the package is still in transit and will be arriving late. No kidding. Yet it doesn't say where the package is or was last scanned but still shows the same info from December 1st when the package was handed over to a USPS worker and scanned.

I can't and don't blame buyers, no one wants to be stuck paying for something they never received.

Unfortunately they are refusing because it is pre paid and I provide scan forms. I also have pick up. It is happening both ways in person or pick up. They are not scanning the forms. I am really concerned what is going to happen to my Ebay account.

There certainly blame to be laid here.  The election ballots added problems for normal shipping.  The USPS was concerned with the ballots and they received priority.  Now that it is over (the election), we still have the same problem we had before.  Leadership that is probably being directed by a disgruntled head guy who is probably bent on teaching the nation a lesson.  I know for a fact that postal employees are working twelve hours a day, but still are behind.  The covid virus has added to the amount of packages being shipped.  People can't or are afraid to travel, so they are mailing gifts that would normally be delivered in person.  I don't know how we'll all get through this, but we will. I personally have 10 purchases that have been in postal limbo for weeks and may not see them before Christmas.  Half of them were to be presents, to be forwarded.  If they ever do show up, I will be sending them by FedEx, even though it will cost more.  At least they will arrive in a reasonable time frame.  That said, it may come to pass that FedEx gets overwhelmed by the vaccine, so. who knows?  

We are all victims in this **bleep** storm, eBay, sellers, buyers and postal delivery people.  There are no winners here, except perhaps one, and he's the biggest loser of all.

Sooooooo frustrating....

I had 2 packages that were scanned in received .. Then scanned that they left my post office that afternoon.

November 11th...after 10 days I requested a trace on them..Nothing Zip Nada... then YESTERDAY a full 30 days after I shipped them... They were both scanned delivered...

30 minutes prior I had refunded both buyers and had requested them to be intercepted IF they were found..

One buyer paid  me when she got it.. The other thanked my for the "Free Xmas gift"

For some of us going to the post office every day is not an option. I live on the side of a mountain and it takes me 5 minutes just to drive to my mailbox. The post office is much further away. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm also having issues with packages not being scanned. In most cases packages show up on time but I still see late shipment on my seller level. It's frustrating to say the least.
