I'm not sure how it isn't fair to the buyer.
There is nothing unfair about increasing prices when your costs are increased.
You are free not to and pass the savings to the buyer at your expense.

All that suggests to me is that your margins on the little cars you sell are quite comfortable.
I looked at my stats last night.
The average sales price of an item in my store this year is $43.
I do not ever spend more than $3.99 for a single item to resell.
Maybe I too will give my buyers a break on S/H.

I am absorbing it for this holiday season. If the adjustment becomes permanent with the January increase, then I will pass it along to the buyer.

USPS needs to make up their **bleep** mind!!!!!!!!!!! Oct. 1st announcement said the rates weren't going up, except for heavy items, if purchased with ebay labels and that was set for Oct. 6th. NOW they move it to increase Oct. 27th, thought good another break on shipping, NOPE!
I'm raising my shipping, $.30 doesn't seem alot but it adds up and I'm not eating another $40-$60 per month.
I guess UPS is next even though they said no seasonal increase.

I raised my fixed price shipping rates after the last big increase, but I did not go back and raise them on all of my old listings.
I have been bringing my old listings up to my current level because of this latest increase and the holiday surcharge.
Sort of a middle ground.
My goal is to break even on shipping each month.

This is why stores are packed, people aren't buying online anymore like they use to because of it and the golden days of ecommerce I think are coming to an end. We already have had a couple buyers refuse to buy something because they could not get free shipping..... I went to order something from another site and the product total was $24,,,by the time shipping and tax was added on it came to $40. People just can't do it anymore, and USPS is going to keep it up till there is very little business left. Its killing all of us. Did they just not have an increase on Oct 1 and now another coming on the 27th?

4th increase this year, I'm tired of buyers asking for lower shipping too, esp. when I'm losing money as it is.
