Tracking Info Update - USPS/EBAY

Is there any update from ebay/usps because these 2 companies are just pointing fingers at each other.

As a seller, I have a couple items I have submitted service request for via USPS and 1 is moving correctly now, but others are still bouncing between facilities in the wrong direction and mis-shipped on ebay tracking progress.

Very frustrating, but at least I have conversation with ebay representative stating that I should be good as a seller if there's any INR or buyer requests to refund as I properly went through my normal process to purchase shipping label, shipped, and provided the buyer same service as always before.

Ultimately, want my buyer's to receive their end and this all fixes itself.  Don't want to lose the product (neither me or the buyer receives) and be out on the refund too which would be the worse case scenario...

Re: Tracking Info Update - USPS/EBAY

eBay has no control or say in the operations of the USPS. So complaining to eBay about how items are moving through the postal system would fall on deaf ears.
What you are seeing as far as items bouncing around would be to human error on the postal workers part.
If your buyers don’t receive their items and tracking doesn’t show delivered how would you be good? You wouldn’t. Tracking showing delivery is what protects you.
Customer service is notorious for giving bad advice.

I would listen to customer service reps but would I accept what they say...no

They only have a generic idea what is happening as each situation can be different.

As long as item is moving through the network of shipping I wouldn't worry about anything and I certainly would not email the buyer unless they(the buyer) emails you first.

Don't open a 'can of worms'.

Re: Tracking Info Update - USPS/EBAY

Once you ship and hand an item to USPS, ebay has NOTHING to do with it.

'Bouncing around' has been VERY typical for USPS the past 6+ months.

As long as tracking states 'arriving late' 'still in transit' etc. ; that is the information you need to apologetically communicate to your buyers.

Re: Tracking Info Update - USPS/EBAY

Duplicate tracking #'s being created isnt human error, clearly.

I think this might be some 3rd party middleman issue. Ebay sold the labels, in this case, so they share part of the blame. Same thing happened last year so it's not like this is an unknown issue. What you have now is proof that nobody cared to fix it or prevent it from being an issue. I can't really call it poor management, I have to say lack of.
