Hi, I've made my second sale now with selecting the standard envelope as my shipping method. After the sales were made I go to get shipping label and it comes up as a media mail package for +$3. No option to buy the .53-.93 standard envelope shipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated as my first 2 profits are now a loss due to shipping.

How much was the card sold for?

Both under $20. One for 4.99 and the other for 5.

Apparently it's just an issue on the android app? I logged on to my laptop and can generate the correct label.

I think you listed them in the wrong category. To get the "Standard envelope" option when selling trading cards, they have to be listed in the "Sports Mem, Cards, & Fan shop" as the top category, but yours were under "Sporting goods." Of course this is a ridiculous distinction but that's how eBay works.

Looks like it is probably because of the category you selected.
You shouldn't have started under SPORTING GOODS. You should have started with SPORTS MEMORABILIA, FAN SHOP & SPORTS CARDS.
Better check your other listings.

It looks like the items were estimated at 3 ounces each, exceeding the limit for eBay standard envelope?

3 ounces is an allowable weight for eBay's "Standard envelope":

3 plus 3 equals 6

I saw no indication that these two sales were being shipped together.

I have had no problem buying stamps at the post office and writing the address on the envelope. I also use the free stamp machine at the post office to weigh my envelopes and place my stamps accordingly which I bought before.
I usually buy bulk USA stamps on eBay under retail price for my postage. Sending something that expensive doesn't need tracking. I use old thin cardboard for packing for shipping out my stamps.
Most people are honest on eBay and I usually don't get anything lost. One has to think of this as retail and there will be some not honest and such. Its just like having your own little store. Profit and loss.
This is my personal experience as a one kid operation.
I am looking for the most profits I can incur while I will have some loss just like a retail store.
And most important, keep all receipts for end of year to do a profit and loss for sales.

You got that right, I ship Military patches all over the world with a stamp and have less issues than I do with ESE
As in; if I had a nickel for every "why haven't you shipped my item" or "tracking shows this item hasn't been shipped" message I've had to reply to due to the faulty ESE "tracking" that buyers are promised I'd have a bucket full
When I go to auctions, estate sales, etc I'm always on the lookout for unused greeting cards, they're usually dirt cheap and that's what I use to ship my item with stamps, works great
