Shipping

I ordered something Monday. Seller says she shipped Tuesday. No acceptance scan. Tracking still label created. When I asked about it she seemed irritated. She says she tossed it in a slot at the post office.

Re: Shipping

I shipped something last Tuesday and the first scan it got was the delivered scan. Frustrating but it is the USPS not anything I did. Fortunately my buyer was fine and did not message me frantically.

Re: Shipping

Sometimes an item might not get scanned during acceptance.

Here is what you should only worry about and nothing else....item has an "estimated date of delivery".

If item doesn't show up on that date you can open a claim as item has not arrived.

Thanks. Maybe she should not get an attitude either.

Re: Shipping

You should really only be concerned with the delivery estimate provided by eBay. If your order arrives by the estimated delivery date, then you are set. If the order doesn't arrive by then, time to click on the "I didn't receive it" button in your Purchase History.

Depending on the post office and how seller dropped off package it may not get a "scan" for some time. Sometimes it might  not get a scan until it reaches destination post office or out for delivery. Hopefully for the seller it gets a delivery scan when it is actually delivered.

Re: Shipping

I just hope it shows up. Less hassle to get my money back.

Rewording that. No hassle to deal with getting a refund.

I have this to deal with as well...I just have to wait to see if it ever arrives.

Re: Shipping

Due to USPS shortages, acceptance scans may not occur.

Buyers should not focus on acceptance scans but the estimated time for delivery.

Packages that are dropped in mail slots may not show up on tracking until the item arrives at the destinination facility.

Typically though a scan will show up once it hits the first distribution center.

Maybe YOU should not be getting shirty when you ordered something Monday and it's only Friday. The EARLIEST the seller could possibly have shipped would have been Tuesday, which was three days ago, and that's not even taking into account whatever potential handling time they may have.

I was curious why. First time for everything.

Re: Shipping

Shirty? She was the one with an altitude. Your comment was unnecessary. I just wondered why there wasn’t a scan. All cleared up.  No need to be rude.
