What did Ebay do that I now can NOT ship to Puerto Rico?? I can NOT generate a shipping label ( LIKE I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST ) for any addresses in Puerto Rico. Probably ALL the American Territories. I talked to someone at Ebay and just got the run around. I asked him 10 times, what did Ebay change that will not allow me to do this. He said I have 2 options, buy a shipping label OUTSIDE of Ebay, (Post Office $$$), OR Cancel their order !!!! I get screwed every time I turn around by Ebay !!!!! ANY help would be welcomed !!

It's not possible to edit country on the ship to address when purchasing a shipping label through eBay.

There is always the method of taking the item directly to a post office & paying postage there. You lose out on ebay-unique shipping options but can still ship it with the right address, corrected for the post office. I would also drop a note to the buyer in general to correct their address as this will happen to everyone they purchase from. If they have any feedback rating, this should have already occurred....

I would just use Pirate Ship for a GA or priority to PR. You can print out a sinegle label and make the corrections(taking out PR as a country)

I have never had an issue printing to PR. Why don't you try www.usps.com or pirate ship? Input the address EXACTLY like it's on Ebay with the exception of the country. Write USA if it asks for a country. DO NOT OMIT any part of the address. Sometimes, you might see something as part of the address like " The back door of Bob's store." I kid you not. This is PART of the address.
After you print on www.usps.com or Pirate ship, immediately add the tracking number to Ebay. Then you should be fine.
The problem with PR is that the folks there have alot of pride and refer to P.R. as "Mi pais " which is my country despite the fact that P.R. has been a commonwealth of the USA since 1952. I know since I have many relatives on this island. So when they sign on to ebay, they see country and the majority of them will write P.R. instead of United States. It's a pride thing.

YOU WERE CORRECT AND IT WORKED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope a lot of people see this. If you are trying to get an eBay Standard Envelope to print to ( I know for sure Puerto Rico but I think it will be any American Territory ) and it keeps giving you an error saying "something went wrong and it can't generate the label" the CUSTOMER has to change their address to the following : State : PR Country : United States The PROBLEM is they have to change their address, you have to CANCEL the order, and they have to re-purchase it. Then they should be good for any future purchases from the United States. This is because these Territories are view as INTERNAIONAL Shipping now. Why ??? I don't know AND I think it also effects CANADA. I have seen sellers in Canada with shipping rates of $25, to ship something that weighs 1 or 2 oz. !!
Thank You again wastingtime101 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I make about $1.50 with shipping being 87 CENTS. If I go to the post office it will be about $4.00 to ship, NOT the .87 cents !! Out of the question.

Pirate Ship does NOT do tracking on a # 10 envelope. Only Ebay does this.

IT'S A #10 ENVELOPE. NOT A PACKAGE !!

I live in Puerto Rico, and I'm also a seller. I was just ranting today that since the shipping changes a few weeks ago, more and more sellers are not able to ship to Puerto Rico. On the other hand, those same sellers can ship to Vanuatu - a tiny island in the south pacific with 250 occupants. But the largest industrialized island with 3M people in the Caribbean?... nooooo.
Unfortunately ebay lumps us into the "US Protectorate" group. We are not a Protectorate and never have been.
I had a seller tell me that it was a foreign country.

Expanding on this option. If you choose to ship Ground Advantage, you cannot ship in a #10 envelope. Ground Advantage is a package service so your item has to be either very rigid or over 3/4" thick to qualify as a package. Using a larger (or bubble) envelope along with a few pieces of corrugated cardboard would do the trick.
I've not had a single issue with any envelopes Ground Advantage. We use lots of 7 x 4's

Have had this same issue for a long time now where buyers in Puerto Rico do not see a shipping option even though the listing ships worldwide. Had one again today and when I go to see where my item ships, it ship everywhere in the world other than Puerto Rico. I tried entering the postal code and that did not work. I called eBay months ago and they saw the same issue and said that I should tell the buyer to select local pick up and that I should send them a link for another listing with the shipping cost. I have a better idea, eBay should fix this bug which I have had issues with for 6+ months!

Can you tell your developers I'd like to submit a bugfix?
country = buyer.address.country
if item.shipping == EBAY_STANDARD_ENVELOPE:
if country in ("PR", "VI", AS", "GU", "MH", "MP", TT"):
throw Exception("I'm sorry, eBay Standard Envelope is not available. Please select another form of shipping.")
That's it! On the order of 3 lines of code would save thousands of sellers this grief every day!

So I'm a buyer in Puerto Rico, and I have my address correctly with the United States as the country.
What do I need to tell a seller to do in order to enable them ship an item to me?
When I try and bid on it it warns me that he does not ship to US territories, even though he's told me he's checked on his end and he does.
