Shipping rule for two different prices based on number of items purchased?

Hi all,

Not sure if this is doable, and it didn't look like it was from poking around, but I'm really hoping it is or, at the very least, that there's a workaround for me to trick the system into doing what I want.

I sell sports cards and am planning on opening another store on a different (non-TRS) account for lower-end cards that I could ship without tracking in a plain white envelope. To do this, I'd like to charge a small flat rate amount -- say, $1.00 -- to ship anywhere between 1 and 6 cards.

More than 6 cards and I'd like to charge a higher flat rate -- say, $3.75. That would cover any number of items more than 6, as I'm comfortable eating the cost for a large purchase, so purchase 7 cards or 700 cards, I'd like to charge $3.75. But, for 1-6 cards, I only want to charge $1.

Is there any way to set this rule up automatically so I don't have to constantly invoice? My current setup is $3.75 flat rate no matter what and the only time I have to manually invoice is if someone purchases something that's going priority or media mail along with a first class item. I want my customers to be able to have a seamless checkout experience and not sit around waiting for an invoice.

When I mentioned trick the system into it, I was also playing around with trying to figure out how to do something like, $1 for the first item and .50 for each additional, with a cap at $3.75, and then trying to figure out a way to basically discount the 50 cent additions for items 2 through 6. Essentially, 3 items would be $1 plus .50 plus .50, with a $1 discount. But I couldn't figure out how to automate that either.

All help and ideas are appreciated!

You can put a cap on the amount at $3.75, and you can charge a $1 and the .50, but no way to keep it at a $1 for the first 6 items and then jump to $3.75, that I can see.

I honestly don't know the most straight forward way to accomplish this- or if it's possible.

Ways to set up shipping rules-

1. Promotions Manager allows for tiered decreases, but not tiered increases. https://www.ebay.com/sh/mkt/promotionmanager/dashboard

You can set up a shipping promotion for purchases of 7+ cards to ship at a $3.75 flat rate. Alternately, you can set up an order discount promotion for a discount off every x items purchased.

2. Combined shipping rules. https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf

3. Shipping rate tables. https://www.ebay.com/ship/rt
