A buyer contacted me regarding a change of address on his purchase after I printed the shipping label. He corrected his address through his account, but the item still shows the old address. How do I get his new address without the sale being cancelled?

You cannot. The only two option you have is to cancel the order and ask the buyer to place it again with the correct address. Anything else could result in you losing seller protection. It sucks they don't have a better way of handling this.

You cannot change the buyers address once the order details page shows where to ship and your shipping label is printed, nor should the buyer ask you to do so. You lose seller protection (what little we have left at all) and the buyer loses buyer protection. You will have to advise the buyer of this, refund the buyer and have him/her rebuy the item, unless there is a new way around it. But I don't know of any. You will also have to void the shipping label, then reprint a new one. It will take 5-7 days to get a refund from USPS to insure you have not used the first label. I know, it is a PIA but that has been the way for years.

Void that first label at the ebay labels management screen and print a new one. It doesn't matter which you do first.
I have a link to that screen on my desktop. Poke around and you'll find it.
You will be charged for both labels initially with the refund on the void coming later. In the case of USPS it takes about 2 weeks to see the refund show up in your account. Dunno how long UPS or FedEx takes.

That won't work because the address is attached to the order.
To change the address, the order needs to canceled and a new order placed.

You need to cancel the order as a problem with buyers address.
Then the buyer can reorder using the correct address.
