Sellers please beware of dishonest buyer This buyer purchase Authentic Hermes Birkin bag clearly described in pre owned mint condition.All photos and descriptions clearly described minor damages.The bag is from 2007 which correlates with date stamp L.After 2 days of receiving she messaged stating bag is not as described,has some scratches .I accepted the return right away but offered her small discount,just to make her happy and keep the bag.She demanded $3300 refund, I refused and told her to return the bag.She opened the case and escalated it.Until now and it's already day 11 the bag was not shipped back.I did my research and found that this is not her first case of doing this.

What type of case did she file? A SNAD?

Did you send the buyer a return label?

A buyer must return the item within 5 business days of requesting the return.

I would never offer a partial refund. It just feeds the beast and they will continue their bad behavior and try this tactic on other sellers.

The mantra is: Return for refund.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Make sure you add her to your BBL.

Your No Return Policy turns buyers into liars.

If someone has buyers remorse and doesn't want to pay the return shipping, they just make stuff up and file a case.

Yes,she filled a SNAD,posted very dark pictures of the corners,I am not even sure if it is my bag.Ebay provided her with the label.Originally she messaged that she will ship the bag and will cover the shipping and insurance charges.That was on 02/10/18,then she opened a case and never shipped it back.

You must return the item within 5 business days of requesting the return. It's a good practice to include tracking information when returning an item.

Not sure what you mean by this. Did ebay see she had never shipped it and closed the case in your favor?

No they told me she has ten days to ship it back.I think I am wrong they did not close the case.I do not have much experience dealing with buyers like that,this is my first encounter.I think I will stop selling on EBay,it is very frustrating and no protection to sellers whatsoever.

I would never use the word "Mint" in a description on ebay for anything and especially not for a used item. That is a SNAD waiting to happen and a gateway for partial refund requests. The bad feedback even mentions your use of that word.

There is NO protection on Ebay for sellers! Be very careful. I have been selling for 6 years and it's getting worse and worse. I have sold over US$200,000 with a perfect record and I'm a top rated seller.

A couple of weeks ago a buyer returned a pair of earrings with a diamond missing.

Ebay took her side and refunded her the full amount and gave me my first defect! They would not believe that it was the buyer who damaged the item even though I called them immediately upon opening the parcel and sent them photos. If it wasn't the buyer who had done the damage, then I guess it must have been me?!!

I feel I have no alternative now than to close my Ebay shop because I can't risk this happening again on a more valuable item. Some of my items are worth over $10,000. I am so distressed and don't know where to turn or what to do. I can begin again on Facebook, Instagram and/or Gumtree, but loosing my Ebay customers will hit me hard, and Ebay know this. I wish we could band together as sellers and boycott them or something

I have selling and buying history on EBay from 2008,with perfect record.I am not selling for a business,I am only selling my own staff which I do not need.I refuse to be a slave of an ignorant,soulless and unfair people.I am totally turned off!
