buyer requesting return

You file shipping insurance claim as it protects you.Buyer is protected by ebay buyer protection.

If the return request reason was not as described(not working or missing parts) either you accept the return and provide return label or ebay will do it for you and your account will get a defect

This is a user to user board not eBay employees.

Shipping insurance will not help in this scenario. If customer took package in and opened it, not in front of the carrier so buyer could then refuse delivery (assuming you are saying you sent with a cord and it's now gone).

That would not do anything if there was or was not a cord. How does this absolutely incorrect information still keep getting passed around?

Asking that is like asking why people believe in the Loch Ness monster
