I bought a ring for over $200, when i recieved it it was a smaller carat weight than described. I opened a case for return and the seller did not get back to me in 7 days so I asked ebay to step in. During the last day they had before the case was forfeited in my favor they responded by giving a full refund. Ebay closed the case.
I figured they didnt want the item back. Then a few days later they are messaging me with instructions to return the item on my dime. I said they need to send a prepaid label. They send me a prepaid fedex ground. I do not have a fedex store near me and Im not willing to travel to return this item. I asked them for a usps or ups label instead and they said they dont do that and sorry for the inconvenience.
So what do I do? They're making it difficult for me to return their item. Do I have to pay for a usps label myself? Do I keep the item? I've never been in this situation. What's the protocol here?

If I were the seller I would report her to her local police~~gave her money back, sent her a return label and she refuses to return the ring. Theft?? Maybe if she got the cops at her door she would cough up the ring or find that FedEx ship center pretty quick.

Theft of what?
The ring the seller gave away for free?
more likely the theft of the time we all put into this thread

Wow, I had no idea this post was still going on. I haven't checked it in days. This has turned into a witch hunt and I am floored that I am being talked about this way.
First, I actually did not know Goin Postal shipped fedex (I've never been there), I only searched fedex stores and boxes. I wish I had known that because I ended up driving out and putting it in an express box.
The ring I am selling on my account is a completely different antique ring that belongs to me.
My question was answered pages ago and I expressed that. I don't understand why people are hanging around posting and trying to villianize me. But if thats the way some of you enjoy spending your time then have fun I guess.

I searched FedEx shippers in your area and that is how I found the shipper 5 miles from your town. It wasn't that hard to do for me being in WI~~should have been easy for you 5 miles away.

What is your problem? You must be a really miserable person. Please cease and desist. The matter has been dealt with. There is nothing left to do or talk about.

The best way to stop the personal attacks on you is to go to your original post and self-report. Click the three dots to the left of 'Options' in the upper right, select 'Report Inappropriate Content', then in the text box, request the thread be closed.
Using the same method, you can report individual posts attacking you. Reference the Community Guidelines here: https://community.ebay.com/t5/About-the-Community/Rules-of-Engagement/m-p/26164369

My hubby just returned some boat parts using the seller's FedEx return label
Call FedEx
Ask for a Pick-up on a Return Service label
Give them the account number on the label.
The pick up charge will be charged to the account holder
