Seller sent me a request to cancel recent purchase. reason - the seller says that you have requested shipment to an unconfirmed addres (which is wrong) the address was correct.
So, how should I proceed? how am I going to get refund and when should I agree to cancel the order?

you Need to check your funding source to see if you were refunded. Refunds are issued when the seller cancels so a refund should have been issued. Don’t do anything until you receive a refund.

Ummmm... don't agree with the request to cancel.

You can't egg and peg here on the boards --
post your own post to have your post.
Your cancel request has 2 radio buttons --
select the second button so your seller loses the FVF fees.
Next, if your item doesn't arrive, start a case for Item Not Received.

Your address may be "correct".
That does not mean it is a "confirmed address".
Newegg may not want to ship to an "unconfirmed" address. I do not know if that is an allowed reason to cancel, but their listings may say "ship only to confirmed addresses".

The seller is probably referring to your address status on file at PayPal. That address is probably unconfirmed - that is, you have not gone through the address verification process at PayPal. Confirming addresses helps to reduce fraud. Here's more information:

Its not allowed but newegg is a high volume seller so they can get away with it 😉

The answer depends on who is following the mob at the moment --
but PayPal says:

A seller can't refuse to ship to an unconfirmed address.
I would guess that they are simply out of stock.
