Scan Sheet Dilemma

So i am a bit confused.... we are heavy ebay sellers, a philatelic company that ships items with postage stamps instead of ebay labels.... also we often ship small single items without tracking..... am i wrong in thinking ebay punishes sellers who do not use the ebay labels? i cannot get a scan sheet, we go to the physical post office 2X a day to ship.. we get tracking, but no scan sheet.. post person said the only way to get one is purchasing online labels....

When i look at the stats it says " no carrier scan sheet " i am punished in my seller levels for not having a scan sheet... i cannot rise above 80%.. lower seller levels + higher fee %... all our other numbers are good..

**bleep** me off.......

So if you want higher percentages you have to buy tracking.  You can raise your shipping cost to cover that cost but I realize you sell in a highly competitive category.  The savings you have from shipping with stamps is probably greater than the cost benefits of Top Rated Seller.

I'm confused, stamped letters DON'T receive tracking numbers unless you pay extra (about $2 I think).   If you aren't paying for the tracking then whatever you are entering isn't seen by eBay as a valid tracking number.

Yeah, the "game" these guys play in order to have a Tracking number uploaded is to use the order number or item number as the "tracking number."  I got one this way recently - could not figure out what was the tracking number as it brought mo search results.  Only on receipt of a stamped envelop was I able to look around figure it out.

There's no payoff to the "game".  If the buyer files INR they lose because the tracking number is in valid.  If the buyer doesn't file INR the seller still get hit with lower validated tracking and higher late shipment percentages.

If you use stamps there is no tracking, there is no tracking number to upload, there is no need for a scan sheet or scan of any kind since there is nothing to scan.

You could use a separate ID for items shipped with no tracking to get them out of your percentage of tracked items (that is if you actually have tracking on any of them).

Your interpretation of the matter is correct, that is exactly how it works.

You have to decide what it is you wish to do.
