QR code

I originally posted this in a different area and it was suggested to post it here.

Last time I sold an item, I selected to have a QR code emailed to me. I never received it and after several minutes of looking, I finally found it going through the order details. I then saved the picture and transferred it to my phone so I could use it at the post office.

It was suggested that you have to use the app, so this time when I sold an item, I went through the app and everything appeared to go just fine, but still did not receive a QR code in my email.

To be clear, I am not receiving the QR code in my email or in my ebay messages. I also checked my spam folder.

Is this a glitch that is being worked on or am I doing something wrong?

Qr codes are given to local pick up only sales. They are given to the buyer to be scanned by the seller when he picks the item up.

The OP is asking about shipping label QR codes that they're not receiving, and I suggested they post on this board for more help.

I'm talking about the QR codes given to sellers to take to the post office.  At the post office, they scan the QR code and print a label for you and put it on the package. As I stated originally, it works... I just don't get it emailed to me like it's supposed to. I like it because I don't have to print labels.  One less expense and step for me.

Ahh yes I remember some thing about this: of course if the site map did not look like the three stooges having a fun time one might find the info on such..

Will look:

Though first advice is to make sure add blockers and so on are off on the users items, as such in by now classified as such by a lot of companies...

Hey @artilum. You don't have to use the app to generate a QR code. You should be receiving e-mails.

There was an issue a few months ago where QR codes were generating errors when carriers tried to scan them, but that was fixed. I haven't heard of an issue where e-mails aren't being generated.

You said they're not in your SPAM folder - are you receiving other eBay e-mails and it's just the QR code e-mails that aren't coming through?

If you open the app on your phone, can you go to the order info and access the QR code that way? I'm not entirely sure since I've never used QR codes. But if you can do that, then it would be a great alternative to taking screenshots on your computer and sending them to your phone.

The only info eBay offers is:

Do I need to download the QR code?
No, the QR code will be automatically emailed to you. Simply open the email on your phone or device to access the QR code. However, if you prefer, you can also download the QR code directly from the eBay Labels confirmation page.

By any chance, do you use Gmail? There's an ongoing issue where intermittently sale notifications and buyer messages are not making their way to gmail accounts. Perhaps QR codes are also being intermittently affected.

You should contact eBay CS and alert them to this issue. If there's an open tech ticket they can add you to it. If there isn't one, then your report will sit there until others report the same and it gets escalated to a ticket.

The QR codes are very helpful. At the post office, they scan the code and print a label for me and put it on the package.  It might be cumbersome for  someone that does a lot of sales, but for me, I don't have to buy labels or ink.

A lot of info on the net: but not sure what to trust.

Crazy I have to go to the net to find info that should be easy to find on eBay is it not???

I am receiving all of my other ebay emails as usual, and I use yahoo mail for my ebay stuff.

I'm not able to get to the QR codes through the app.  Sometimes it's like a maze trying to find stuff like that, so if there's a way, I'd love to know, but it just seems that the app is too limited for that.

I tried looking for customer support or a way to contact them and this was the only place I could find... again... it's like a maze trying to find things like that.  I can try again.

Do you have either a facebook or twitter account? You can go to the eBay CS support channels on either of those platforms and those reps are based in the US.

Or if you prefer you can go through the eBay website. Go to the bottom of this page and click the "have us call you" button.

Until it's fixed, you can download the codes from the confirmation page after purchasing the labels then e-mail them to yourself so you can access with your phone. It's a pain, but workable as you said you have a low volume to ship.

I did see those articles, and for the most part, it works just like it says, with the exception of getting the codes in email.

Make sure Yahoo is not doing blocks on the bulk mailer eBay is using for this.

Check your security setting and see if any is being blocked.

So, if I follow the "Help and Contact" link, go to "Contact Us" -> "Selling" -> "Shipping your items", the only options I have is to talk to an automatic assistant which is like talking in circles, or posting my problem here.... so here I am.

If there's another way to get to customer service or to start a ticket, please let me know.
