QR code for ground advantage not working

This morning I went to the post office with my QR code for Ground Advantage. The worker scanned it but got an error message saying unable to retrieve label. I tried at another post office and got the same result. Has this happened to anyone else? The package would have been a First Class package not parcel select if that matters. Thanks

Oh my goodness!  I am having a problem even receiving my QR code!  I called Ebay and the Agent I spoke to said ebay is having a GLITCH in their system.  They said they were working on it.  I have no printer at home so I definitely need the QR code.  I notified my Buyer Ebay was having problems.  I hope she doesn't request a refund and I lose tge sale!!

Lastnight I was able to scan mine, howevery ebay still has it turned off to make new ones, seeing as I don't have a working printer this is making it difficult to ship items. Hopefully it's all fixed soon.

Thank you. I was able to use my QR code at the self service kiosk late lastnight, around 9:30 pm eastern. However, ebay still has it disabled to make new ones. i don't have a working printer right now, so qr codes are the only way I can do labels. Any idea when ebay will be activating the qr codes again?

That's a positive sign. Hopefully it means this issue will be resolved today.

Hi there, wanted to update with experience as of 2 pm PST here in california.

I have 30 packages with QR code. My local PO scanned the first 10 successfully and then got an error message. So I still have 20 packages that need labels.

Going to another PO today or tomorrow to see if they have the same issues

Both are working:

Here is my 5:30pm Eastern Standard. The QR codes generated from the Sunday 7/9 now work. And I generated a QR code today on the new system and it worked.

But still not always showing Ground Advantage on the Bulk Shipping page, get Media Mail instead.  Means you have to manually select GA for those incorrect items.

Yes, that happened to me also. My buyer chose First Class, I took my QR code to my post office-post office was unable to process this new feature that replaced First Class. So I went to my library to print a label , while there I discovered that the listing showed “shipped “ and there was even a tracking number provided in the listing. So I take my box back to the post office so that they could fix this and find a way to get my package on it’s way-after all my buyer paid for First Class shipping and I felt that it was the post office’s responsibility to get the package on its way-BUT NO!!!!! The post office checked their computer system and it showed that the package was in a “pre-ship” status. I actually saw the report. So it wasn’t that the QR code didn’t work-it worked partially-WHICH IS WORSE! 
The post office told me to contact EBay. 
Because of a very awful experience with EBay customer service just a few months earlier-there was no way I was going through that again. To satisfy my buyer-I chose to pay the shipping myself (which of course generated a new different tracking number) and I sent a message to my buyer advising of the issue and gave them the correct tracking number and asked them to please give me positive feedback as soon as the package arrived as that was the only way to prove to EBay that the package was indeed delivered. That existing tracking number in the listing could stay there til the cows came home and it was NEVER going to show delivered. I did get a reply from my buyer thanking me and agreeing to post feedback. I hope I get paid. I just have to wait and see. Everyone should avoid using that Advantage ground as it has serious problems. My situation kicked off one day after the rollout of the new “service “. There must be many thousands of sellers that found out the hard way about the computer glitches!!!

Ground Advantage is NOT working all the time.  I have a package that the seller says she took to the PO on August 16, but the GA scan continues to say as printed below.  I have not received the package and the seller has not replied to my last email.  She said in the first that the package was probable just delayed by the weekend but this has been the reading for the last week.  The Post Office has not way to report this scanning failure.  The is the third packaging scan failure I have had in one week.  Randy Hayes

What you're describing is not related to this discussion about a short-lived QR code issue. It's generally better to start a new thread when you have a new issue @nagham .

 

It's not at all uncommon for a package to not get scans until it arrives at the destination PO. If the label is damaged or the bar code is wrapped over an edge/curve. It might not get any scans, not even at delivery unless the carrier manually keys it in. All you need to worry about is the estimated delivery date on your order. If the package doesn't arrive by the EDD you have 30 days to file a non receipt claim.
