Email came out today about Puerto Rico now being under EIS.
Had a conversation with an ebay rep and said, you all know that PR is part of the US right?
They said, the change was to move it to EIS because PR requires customs forms and some sellers don't want to fill out custom forms.
This didn't sound right to me, so I googled it and google says...
Shipments from the mainland United States to Puerto Rico are considered domestic packages and do not require customs forms because Puerto Rico is part of the U.S. Customs territory.
So why is PR now part of EIS?

Hawaii and Alaska are joining EIS.
You think eBay considers those non domestic?
Lol eBay is adding these locations to the program so sellers don't have to deal with them.
Why cant domestic options that are not part of the continental US be part of the program?
This means no more returns from PR.
You can still ship directly giving buyers options if you want.

It is likely part of EIS to 1) open up sales from those whom refuse to sell there due to 2) the return mail fraud rampant from PR known for over a decade & to 3) make a profit by using their own shipping network.
Expect it to expand as USPS unreliability expands.
