I bought an item from a seller on Nov 20th. The estimated delivery was between Dec 5th and Dec 16th. The seller was unable to ship the item until Nov 30th due to a family emergency. That's fine. The item was picked up on Dec 2nd and arrived at Consolidation Center on Dec 5th. But that's it. There have been no updates since then. It's now past the latest estimated arrival date, but I chalk that up to the seller not sending the item for 10 days. I've been googling this whole "Processing at Consolidation Center". But every post I come across is just unresolved. I have no idea if the people who had the same problem every got their packages or not.
Here's the postage history:
I just want the item I paid for. At the very least, I wanna know what's going on with the package. Is it normal to wait longer than 2 weeks for the package to be processed? Or is the item just lost and I have to get a refund? This very frustrating.

Update: My package is on the way. Here's the story of how I finally found it.
Still no update on eBay's tracking of my package. The last update is still Dec 5th.
I went to USPS.com again to check their tracking to see if they had the package since they were the last ones to handle it according to my tracking information. Nothing. The tracking number isn't valid.
So, on a whim, I decided to go to other delivery service websites and use my tracking number. I wasn't expecting anything. Invalid here, invalid there, and so on and so on. Then I get to the DHL website. and suddenly there's all this information about my package starting from Dec 5th, which was the last known update on my package from eBay's tracking. Same origin "Glendale Heights" as the last known location from eBay. And the destination address is my place.
So I guess the package was handed over to DHL on Dec 5th, but eBay never updated me with that information. Nor does eBay's tracking update to show DHL's tracking. It just ends with USPS's leg of tracking my package. At the very least the USPS could've said "handed over to a different courier" or something.
So, to all the people with the same problem, go to other delivery services and try using your tracking number with them instead. You might find your package like I did.

Being past the EDD, it's up to you at this point how much more you are willing to wait. You do not want to wait beyond the 30-day window if you want to get a refund through the MBG.
Personally, I'd just wait it out a bit longer in case the package shakes loose, as this is the worst period for shipping nightmares. There's a chance its just caught up in a backlog of freight being processed. You could open a claim and be refunded only to have the package arrive tomorrow and you'll have to re-pay.
I'd say use your judgement, but don't let the 30 days lapse on you.

To add, it IS frustrating, but I've had international shipments held up in customs and/ or ISC s for weeks, and / or up to a month, so I feel your pain.

You're right. It is Christmas so I should wait a while longer.
Just to confirm, when you say 30-day window, do you mean 30 days from when it was shipped? Or 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date?

You have 30 days from the last EDD. So, in your case , from 16 DEC forwards.

Thanks very much. You've been a big help. I'll wait until sometime close to January 16th before attempting to get a refund.

If I decide to wait to extremes I will open a case at least two days prior to the expiration of the 30 day window , just to have some leeway. You don't want to be AT the last day and have your device fail or other mishap keeping you from filing.
I hope your package arrives safely.

Yeah, I had the same thought. I was even considering doing it on the 12th. With the 16th being a Monday, and the Saturday and Sunday being the 14th and 15th, I'm worried that eBay might not get around to checking refund queries on the weekend. So the 12th feels like a safe bet.

Do me a favor and come back and let me know how you make out, in the end.

Sure. I just hope I remember.

I am in exactly the same kinda jam. Mine's been stuck at that same consolidation center in IL since Dec 07. The EDD was today. I really want to hold out for this thing to arrive as its something I'd been looking for for a very long time. I think I'm going to give it 25 days max and then call it. Gonna be such a bummer!

Your post actually gives me hope. I was worried that my package was lost or something. But the chances of both our packages being at the same place, two days apart, and both being lost is not very likely. Possibly, but not likely. So that's a good chance that both our packages will be delivered eventually, we just gotta wait a while.
However, I'm still requesting a refund if there's no update by mid-January, I'm not taking the chance of losing that money if the item is actually lost.

The USPS is a total cluster F right now. Either they have a lot of packages losing labels or they hired a LOT of "seasonal thieves"....period. From what I am told, they send all damaged and unlabeled packages to Atlanta for "recovery"...They open each one and try to determine if they can relabel and send. If this happened, it may be 3-4 months before the package gets to the buyer or back top the sender IF they can identify it as they are SWAMPED. Always include a packing slip in your package in case this happens. Make sure you file a "missing mail" case at USPS.com. This helps them identify your package.....and shows you care about it.

Believe it or not, I've had good luck with calling USPS Customer Service, and getting a human on the line.
It may take forever to get said human (I put the phone on speaker and was doing other things while waiting), but the agent who finally got my call was one step below the State Postmaster's office, and he was able to shake my package out of the system when it disappeared for two weeks with no tracking updates. He also gave me his direct contact number, and called me once he got a lead on the box. Said box was in my hot little hands less than a week later.
(Do not get between me and a pair of mint condition, full leather, vintage Cole Haan riding boots.) 😁
So, going through the phone menu and sitting on hold may be a pain in the assets, but I can attest that it pays off.

Thanks for the advice. My parcel is supposed to be shipped out to the UK and I'm not sure if USPS is involved after delivering the item to eBay's consolidation center for international shipping. When I track the item, the service listed is DHL eCommerce Parcel Direct.
