Priority Mail A Box ?

WHY is the Priority Mail A Box STILL showing as an OPTION on a SOLD item (01/03) when USPS Discontinued it? z.jpgWhat happens if Seller buys postage on that size, on eBay, & ships? It is almost $3 less than Medium Flat Rate Box.

Re: Priority Mail A Box ?

USPS postage for the Regional boxes is still available.  The Regional rates are missing from the new rates that will go into effect on January 22, 2023.

Re: Priority Mail A Box ?

OK... looks like it's available for a few more days... WASHINGTON, DC — The U.S. Postal Service filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) today of price changes for Shipping Services to take effect Jan. 9, 2022.

Re: Priority Mail A Box ?

The 'boxes' will still be honored for a few months past the 'cut off date' so you should be able to still purchase.

Just a worthless sidenote: I've always noticed that PP never had them shown to purchase.

In the announcement that I linked to above, USPS explains that sellers will be allowed to use up their stocks of the Regional boxes indefinitely, but starting on January 22 they will ship at the usual Priority Mail rates, based on weight and distance/Zone.

As a NY Shipper, the A was a good savings going parts west.

Re: Priority Mail A Box ?

Thank you. I spent a lot of time trying to find it online. BTW, now is the time to order both if you were happy with the sizes and use them as regular PM boxes after the 22nd. The small A is a nice, light box, if I remember correctly. I wish I'd gotten more C boxes before they stopped offering that rate.

NY too (LI) but didn't find them too useful. Guess it depends on what you're selling.
