Print listing button gone ! Why ? ? ?

As long as I can remember ..   There was a "button" about 1/3 of the way down the listing (just above the description, on the right side)  that allowed you to choose one of 3 options for printing out your item listing.  

I always printed out a copy of the listing and included it in the package with the item.  Today I went to do the same thing and the "Print" button was gone.   Why ?   This tool is of GREAT use.  I used it for EVERY sale I made.  I called eBay customer service and they had no answer.   The only suggestion was to do use the  "Print Screen" option on my computer.   This isn't as good as the eBay Print Listing because it includes info that isn't useful to the buyer and it doesn't leave the proper space I used to mark the item Paid In Full and a Thank You for your purchase note. 

How can I / we let eBay know how important this button was ?  Any suggestions ?

Try it again; it woks for me on a Mac with either Firefox or Safari.

You are seeing the Print page or a page with a Print button? I see neither on my Mac: Safari, Firefox, Chrome   😞

I see a listing ended page with the usual eBay junk.

I get the basic old eBay listing page with no junk and the Print button where it always was, and the Print  button works.  Try this example:

Apparently it only works with active listings.

So my conclusion above in post #182 has to be modified to read, "However, there seem to be no workarounds for your Unsold items or Completed items in which you were not a party to the transaction."

It works with ended listings too...
But if you still don't see the print link (eg: for items you were not part of in the transaction), you can als try:

or change the domain to canada, france, germany, etc... :

So, to keep the language in English, try Canadian domain first... otherwise the print page would be in another language (eg: French, German, ...), but better that then nothing I'd say....

What irritates me is that all these obviously ,far cleverer than me, computer experts are doing their very best to help the rest of us sort out this situation . It's again ,obvious ,that there is no simple solution.  Everyone (God bless'em) has their own thoughts and solutions and these are given with the best intentions.

WHY are we even having this conversation?  WE ARE THE (paying) CUSTOMERS!! 

WHY was the set up  messed with in the first place?  An Earth shatteringly , death defying decision taken at board level?

Yes, not happy. I use this function to print out on paper or pdf, so I have a record of what I purchased, price/date/etc, for my records. Very important. How do we do it know? That's what I need to know.

I only can second that. There is no good reason why the user should not have a simplified representation of the item ready for print. EBAY: LISTEN TO YOUR USERS!!!

As we know, we can replace xxxx with item number we want to print. But also we figured out, those would not work for ended listings.

Here what I figured out.

You also need to fill that part containing "view=all&tid=yyyy", where yyyy is your transaction ID. If you fill "tid=" with CORRECT transaction ID, I think you could get correct print page. So, where you could get correct transaction ID? The answer is in bought items' menu named "View PayPal transaction". When you place mouse cursor over that menu item, you should note a link, containing "...TransactionId=yyyy", where yyyy are digits. Those digits are waht you need. Obviously, to view PayPal transaction, item should not be in Purchase history yet.

Example:

Lets assume xxxx=123456789123

So, yyyy=3216549870000

You do not need the transaction id (TID)... Simply use this link:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=xxxxx

Where xxxxx is the item number... works with every kind of listing, closed or not.

Using that link and you'll get the 'print' button back on that page where it used to be (next to the report button).

I can't seem to find the view purchased item anywhere on my page after I've purchased something.   Does it go away after while or do you need to find and do the printing immediately after one has purchased something?  I sometimes purchase 50+ little items have have minute differences and without the photos I can't tell one from the other and what the heck I paid for them so I know what to charge when I re-sell.  Has there been any update on the print isting at all?  This really has put a crimp in how I proceed from here with my purchases and sales.

I'm just as frustrated over this issue as everybody else! I just tried out your fix of viewing an item via ebay.ca and ebay.de instead of ebay.com. I tried an active listing as well as an ended one. Alas - NO Print Button as far as I could see.
