As long as I can remember .. There was a "button" about 1/3 of the way down the listing (just above the description, on the right side) that allowed you to choose one of 3 options for printing out your item listing.
I always printed out a copy of the listing and included it in the package with the item. Today I went to do the same thing and the "Print" button was gone. Why ? This tool is of GREAT use. I used it for EVERY sale I made. I called eBay customer service and they had no answer. The only suggestion was to do use the "Print Screen" option on my computer. This isn't as good as the eBay Print Listing because it includes info that isn't useful to the buyer and it doesn't leave the proper space I used to mark the item Paid In Full and a Thank You for your purchase note.
How can I / we let eBay know how important this button was ? Any suggestions ?
Thanks in Advance,

@unustus wrote:I'm just as frustrated over this issue as everybody else! I just tried out your fix of viewing an item via ebay.ca and ebay.de instead of ebay.com. I tried an active listing as well as an ended one. Alas - NO Print Button as far as I could see.
It's incredible!
Works perfectly here, see attached photo's as example.
Make sure you use the Canadian domain and the exact URL as described (do not use any other parameters than the 'item' parameter)
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=xxxxxxxxxxx
What item numbers did you try?

I don't know what I did wrong the first time - I now tried again, and it does actually work! Active or ended - I seem to be able to print both types. I'm so grateful for this fix - as long as it lasts. I don't trust ebay at all! But what a bother to have to get your prints this way.
Still, a print it is, so thank you!

you have to call in and complain about it if you want it changed back

It is not the same with the old one. This one is a kind of summary, no photos, no details.

I don't see any difference between now and the 'old' one though.
Make sure you have selected all the appropiate boxes at the top of the page (see attached picture).
If stuff is missing, it usually means the listing itself (the html) was not made properly.
This can certainly happen with images when they are hosted on 3rd party servers for example. But this has nothing to do with eBay or the print page itself.
In short, nothing has changed as far as what is listed and what not on the (Candian) print page itself, compare to what it used to be.

Reminds me of a million years ago when I was in an amateur operatic musical production and we were sorting out the dance steps. In front of everyone the director told me that I was doing it all wrong. - I was out of step . I said.........wait for it............ " it's not me ....IT'S ALL THE OTHERS THAT ARE OUT OF STEP" !!! Makes me wince to think that I even thought it never mind said it ,even now ,after so many years.!!
SO....everyone that is complaining on here is wrong ? We've suddenly found that everything we've been doing correctly for years we are now doing.... "wrongly"
....mmmmmmmmm.....
IS IT ME..... OR WHAT !! ??

I think by now we know who has "won" in this situation.....time to slink away into a dark corner , lie down and sulk methinks !!
ALL of these messages of protest have been a complete waste of time.
Welcome to the real World 2015........

Since you asked why someone would want a record, here's my reason:
I collect signed books with the plan to sell them at a later date. The printing shows me exactly what I bought, from whom, and any description notes (without all the advertising/similar items garbage that eBay throws in there). I print the listing and keep a copy with my books (over 1500 now) so I have this information for my records.

I called customer service about this and another issue. He was not aware of the change, but said he would bring it to Ebay's attention. That was several weeks ago and still not change!

This is causing untold irritation. I keep these printouts with ephemera I buy because they source the date acquired, description and verify it was bought legitimately without having to mark the item or manually handwrite a note.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE PRINT BUTTON!!!

As noted in one of the above posts, you can still access it through this link, just substitute your listing number for the xxxxx's:

THIS PROBLEM IS DEFINITELY NOT SOLVED FOR BUYERS WHO WANT A PROVINANCE RECORD FOR THEIR COLLECTIBLE PURCHASES. WHY DOES EBAY SPEND SO MUCH TIME "FIXING" SO MANY THINGS THAT ARE NOT BROKEN? I use Ebay IN SPITE of their very poor way of running an organization, not because of it. This one achieves a new high in stupidity.

IT WORKED!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&&item=xxxxxx
It worked for ebay.com, not just ebay.ca
THANK YOU notrs*jane
I found the "print" link on the page I went to for an ACTIVE ITEM.
Why on earch does this work and a normal view does not??
Oh, nevermind, it's ebay.
Thank you again for solving my problem.

The only way that I have found to be able to print the FULL printable listing details that so many of us are missiing (apart from the almost impossibly long "Canadian Method" which I tried and didn't work) is .....
You cannot seem to do it on an item that you have alraedy bought BIN.
Also not always possible if you are the only bidder.
SO......
On the sold item listing left click the small "see original listing" (top left)
On the original listing left click on the NUMBER OF BIDS. eg ( 6 )
The bids HISTORY is shown.
On the right hand side you will see "MORE ACTIONS"......left click on that.
Then left click on "VIEW PURCHASED ITEM"
The full printable listing that we always used to get should then appear with all the options available. Remember how it used to be eBay?
OR...... you can try the Canadian Method.....GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!!
