I sold an item, going USA to Australia, its a package or box, not an envelope.
dimensions are 25x16x10
I paid for shipping and printed the label CP-72 i believe.
which is one page and i taped it to the package.
The package dimensions were incorrect, even tho I entered them correctly
before purchasing the postage. Dimension on the paid for a printed label
where 7x4x4. Something I did not notice until I got to the post office.
I took the package with the paid for and printed label, and the post clerk told
me I had the incorrect label and I need to void the label and use the correct
customs form, which has multiple pages to it.
So, is there a glitch? Why are the dimension I enter being changed?
Why is the incorrect form being printed?
Am I doing something wrong? is there an option I needed
to select in order to get the correct customs form?
I spoke to customer service, together we voided 2 shipping labels?
This is now costing me real dollars and considerable time to sort out.

thats possible.
she told me they are cracking down on incorrect customs forms.
i entered my package dimension of 25x16x10, then paid for my shipping
and the label printed with package dimension of 7x4x4 !!
That has nothing to do with the clerk. She just read the form.

If the dimensions of your package are 25x16x10 then you must ship this via Priority mail international and print out the appropriate forms. It does not qualify for 1st class shipping.

CP72 is usps priority int'l that has 4 copies of same form, 1 for sender the other 3 go on the pkg in the clear plastic customs form envelope 2976E.
CN22 is usps 1st class int'l that is just 1 page and gets taped to the pkg.

Oh there certainly is (for PMI labels to AU) and it has been going on for a while. Multiple threads about this issue.
Your dimensions don't matter. Dimensional weight is not an issue with int'l shipments provided that the length plush girth doesn't exceed 97" - yours is only 77", so it doesn't matter that the dimensions are wrong on the form.
The only problem is that only 1 form is printed when it should be 4. I've still shipped my PMI packages to Australia with the single part form and my PO has accepted them leading me to believe your PO clerk crosses all t's and dots all his i's.
I'm guessing that this is an ebay software problem so I wouldn't try to print a label through them again. Maybe try click-n-ship.

This is what I am led to believe.
"The only problem is that only 1 form is printed when it should be 4"
My post office clerk pretty much said exactly this, that I am missing the rest of the
forms. She handed me a different carbon copy, multi page form.
So the problem is that ebay has not figured a way to inform the seller that they need to
print X number of copies, or change the printing format to fill in the seller, Post Office, Customs
copies of the shipment.
The last thing my clerk told me was that the either the post office or customs have been cracking down on incorrect lables, and she did not want me to lose my package.
Kinda frustrating.
Live and Learn I guess.

The servie I selected is Priority Mail International, on both the listing itself as well as when I paid for the shipping.
I have just been told by a long time ebay seller, that something did change recently, and he used to get 4 the pages until about a month ago, and now he is only getting 1 page.
Is there a place to look up and confirm there has been a change to the system?
