Packing slip is listing the wrong shipping price and total

I am trying to ship a book that was paid for.  The book was $15.00, the shipping was $5.38, which is what the buyer paid.  The packing slip is showing that shipping is $24.74 and that that the order total is $39.74.  I do not want to sent this inaccurate packing slip and freak the buyer out, as he may think I am upcharging the shipping, which I am NOT doing.  How do I get in contact with ebay to fix this problem?  There is no button to select that matches this problem.

Re: Packing slip is listing the wrong shipping price and total

Is this an International Sale using Ebay International Shipping?

If so the shipping will reflect both the domestic and international charges on the packing list.

Check the ship to address. The address will start with eIS if this is the case.

You're sure this is not an eBay International Shipping order? Shipping to eIS C/O Buyer Name?

Packing slip shows what buyer paid, not necessarily what you received. To me that looks like the difference of the international ship cost.

Re: Packing slip is listing the wrong shipping price and total

As a convoluted workaround...

just click the "This is a gift" checkbox (in the list of options)

That takes all the prices off the page for the packing slip.

If this is international, do not do that. It may need the prices for customs

I use the "pick list" for a packing slip. Eliminates much nonsense that does not need to be there. "Packing slip" has toooooooooo much and prints out too large for my liking.

Check the eBay ID buyer in feedbacks...what country is it showing up for the buyer?

Oregon is a state for 'freight forward' packages to another country.

@lemcda_703

Perhaps the easiest solution is to not print a packing list with your orders -- you are not required to do so by eBay -- and it will save you on printer ink and paper, too.

I have shipped over 11,000 transactions over the last 14 years, and never once included a packing list.

Just switch "off" on that option.

Unless it's an eIS shipment. May be an unenforced rule, but it's in the terms of service so I go with it.

Thank you, although the address is Glendale Heights, it does start with EIS.  I appreciate the help.

Although I firmly believe every order should have a packing list, Your recommendation will save ink and paper and rarely cause a problem EXCEPT when using EIS or any other situation where the order is opened before it reaches its ultimate recipient. When dealing with EIS, the packing list helps them in the process of verifying the correct items and order, which is part of the function at the Ebay Hub.

It also provides a check for them on the export paperwork they generate.

When shipping to a large organization with a receiving dock or mailroom, the packing list is also important. People receiving orders are often interrupted and a packing list helps them deal with getting back to the right place in their processing.

Re: Packing slip is listing the wrong shipping price and total

If the package is to be forwarded by a private company, eBay would have no way of knowing that or how much the company charges, so there is no reason that amount would be added in to eBay's packing slip.
