Packing an Item...poorly

Media Mail.JPG

I can't believe how some sellers pack their items.

Yea, I sell stamps...and I bought these stamps from a buyer.

Buyer used a 4 1/8 X 9 1/2 envelope and just put stamps inside with no protection whatsoever.

And item was listed as 'media mail' in the shipping...is that even allowed?

I sell stamps and never used 'media mail'.

These are International stamps...so they are not cheap.

Is this seller even worth a feedback?

If it arrived fine then really it's more your opnion that it could be packaged better. You can't point and be like see. Because it arrived in proper condition which the evidence actually contradicts your beliefs.

For the policy part. Media mail and they sent another form of USPS.

I would say no it's not a violation of eBay policy unless it's a slower service. Media mail is advertised as a pretty slow service so I would not think it was slower.

The policy doesn't say you can't use a different service.

Re: Packing an Item...poorly

My wife gets cute little sticker sheets all the time, like 4+ a month. They are always sent like that just the sheet in an envelope. I have NEVER seen one come damaged. I would say this is pretty much standard for sending stickers. And while I will always use a sleeve to send my TCG cards I'm pretty sure they'd be fine without most of the time. I think the machines tend to treat letters better than humans treat packages..

I just realized you're the guy with the pile of RTS's and read through all the comments. I'm curious, do you use a card sleeve or something to send those $2 stamps in the envelopes?

Also thanks for this post. Never knew you could get Int stamps so cheap! I go through a bunch of those things.

Re: Packing an Item...poorly

I use card sleeves I make and I pick my stamps in a plastic sealed bag usually.

These $2 buyers are the ones who leave feedback...LOL.

Re: Packing an Item...poorly

If it was sent in a letter envelope, it was not sent media mail. A letter would cost far less than media mail's minimum of 4.63 anyway. He might have put media mail in the listing by mistake. FCM is faster than media mail, by eBay rules he can upgrade you to a faster service (but cannot downgrade to a slower service.)

Not all sellers are MENSA members.

Re: Packing an Item...poorly

Of course the seller is not worth any feedback, he did a barely adequate job of fulfilling the order. I suppose that the fact that the stamps are not counterfeit is a big surprise. Maybe if you feel a desire to leave FB you could leave NOT COUNTERFEIT. It is at least as appropriate as his packaging - the stamps did survive.

Not bad enough to leave neutral FB for either.
