I paid for my items on March 29. On March 30 I received the tracking number along with this:
There has been no movement since. I called the USPS yesterday, where the items are supposedly located and was told they had not receive the package, I need to contact the seller. I was also told they ship the items as soon as they receive the packages. Once I hung up I sent a message to the seller about the conversation.
This is the response I received: sew734, This morning we had a 1/2 hour discussion with the Post Office. They are behind in shipping as a result of Covid-19 Virus. They indeed do have the package per the tracking on the USPS web site.
There has still been no change in the status. The best part is the seller is located about 16 miles from me. We are on shutdown in our state so I cannot go up to the shop to inquire and the phone number listed is not valid.
I tend to believe the USPS am I wrong?

That's a different scan comment than what shows up when I have packages scanned in at the post office. My scan ins say "USPS in possession of item" or "Origin Acceptance". Your seller probably placed it in a drop bin, or maybe used a scan sheet.
I would tell the seller you spoke to the post office also and they told you something different and to please file a missing mail claim. The seller could have been told a different thing than you were. However, the seller doesn't seem too helpful or apologetic. If the package isn't received in a few days, I would probably file a INR case.
I had a package go missing recently too; no updates for awhile now. About a week after it was supposed to deliver, I contacted the seller and asked them to file a missing mail claim. I didn't hear anything back for a few days, so I reached out again and they refunded me. I really wanted them to resend the item because I really need it. I told them I would repay if it ever showed up.

Yes the person I talked to at the post office said they had not received it. The information they had basically just gave the tracking. I feel as though the seller is feeding me a bunch of hooey.
