I have 3 items that were sold and paid for on Friday, Nov. 3. My account states that I ship next day. Ebay is saying for me to ship by Tuesday, not Monday. Any reason why, as Monday is not a USPS holiday? Thanks.

Another weird Ebay giltch. Just ship as usual on Monday.

eBay works in "business days".

The means weekends and holidays don't count.

You have two days to ship.

Saturday is NOT a business day.

That means your two days are Monday and Tuesday.

BUT

I don't trust eBay's time accounting so I suggest mailing Monday.

Just to be safe.

Hi. Thanks, I understand all that. The thing is that it always says Monday for me. This is the first time ever is said Tuesday.

If the OP has one-day handling, then they had one business day to ship, not two. Items paid for on Friday Saturday or Sunday should be shipped on the next business day, which is Monday.

This is why I was confused by the Tuesday date all of a sudden. Just weird!

I think that this is a system glitch. And I suspect that the confusion comes from this: Postal holidays are most often taken on Monday but this next week is Veteran's Day and that means that Friday November 10 will be a postal holiday.

Same thing happened to me except that my international items it says to ship on Nov 8 which is really weird.

They are really messed up
I do 1 day shipping , Item sold Friday Nov. 3rd said ship by Monday Nov.6th 11:59 PST (correct for my 1 day shipping)
item sold today instead of saying ship Monday Nov. 6th it says ship Tuesday Nov. 7th (Wrong for my 1 day shipping)
Both of these items should say ship Monday & look at the PST on the Tueday ship by ?

November 11, 2017 (the legal public holiday for Veterans Day), falls on a Saturday. For most Federal employees, Friday, November 10, will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes.

Good catch. Thanks. The list I printed out at the beginning of the years says Friday November 10 so it was undoubtedly in error. Saturday makes more sense.

I just sold something a few minutes ago. (the 6th) at 7 a.m. pacific time. Says to ship by the 8th. Freaked me out. I thought I was losing my mind. Looked at multiple calendars. Yep, it's the 6th.
