On Friday my mail carrier pulled down my driveway turn around and left. I was standing in the drive at the time. Monday I get a package slip in my mailbox I contacted USPS to schedule a redelivery for today.
I was standing right next to my mailbox when she delivered my mail today I asked about a package she had me a package slip and told me I could "pick it up or not, the post office isn't required to redeliver".
This is the third time and a little under two months that she's done this with package slips rather than delivering the package. I know for a fact the package would fit in my mailbox so there shouldn't be an issue.
It's about 15 miles for me to go into town and pick up my package.
I just find it ridiculous that the mail carrier gets to do this and it seems there's no way to complain about it

This is a usps issue not an ebay issue , the way to complain about this is to visit your usps in person and COMPLAIN there not here .

Sure there is. Make the 15 mile jaunt and file a complaint at the PO while you're picking up your package.

That just fries my bananas. Our regular mail carrier would swim across a flooded street to deliver our mail but he's out on sick leave. One of the relief drivers does the exact same thing as yours is doing. The relief who actually rings the bell when she has a package got a very nice Christmas gift. The other one didn't.

Contact the USPS through the form at:

I'm curious as to why you feel there is no way to complain about this? A formal complaint will be investigated and is easy to do without leaving your home if you so desire.

Pick up your phone and call the post office.
Or better yet, if you can, have your phone with you when the carrier pulls up and get on the line with her supervisor while she is feeding you these lines.

I don’t understand why the first thought to deal with a USPS problem wouldn’t be to call or visit USPS. Your carrier is an employee; talk to their boss.

@alturiafeb91 One issue the USPS has is limited pace on their rural delivery vehicles ... they only want to drive the route once and not have to go back and refill. I would bet you are not the only person on the route this happens to and if the packages are large they are making room for their regular small stuff pushing "delivery" on to you by way of pick up at the post office.
As others have suggested, go to the Post Office and ask for the Post Master ... you can also use the USPS Survey to log a complaint too ... our Post Office always circles the place on the receipt to take the survey ...

Check the box next to number 3 and hand that slip back to your mail carrier.

I ahve this happen often. We live in mountatin and they change carrier occasionally. Just go online and file a complaint at USPS.com. clicking contacting customer service and email for contact and reference a particular tracking numner that happened to each time. Thye will get it corrected for sure.

I am sorry this is happening to you - 15mi is far just to make a trip to p/u pkg(s)/mail. I think this link may help without making the trip to your local Post Office. Here is the link:
https://emailus.usps.com/emailUs/iq/usps/request.do?forward=emailUs
it asks for a tracking number if not let me know, I will try and track down the correct link to make sure that you have a paper trail - again, I'm sorry, I know I would be livid should a carrier did that to me.

I had this kind of thing happen and called the local PO to talk to the route supervisor...... He sent mailman substitute back on 2 different occasions to pick up the packages down a fairly long driveway AFTER they finished the route......the problems never happened again.........
Supervisors can't correct employees if they don't know what the problems are.
