Local Pickup Problem - Buyer Not Responding

Buyer (who has a 0 for rating/feedback) paid for a product. Despite several emails requesting a time and location for a pickup, he he not responded. This will hurt my status. What can I do?

This wont hurt your account,as a d/c tracking is not required for local pick up items. He paid by PP? You can pull his phone number on Seller Central, click on the transaction, then the small id number at the top.It will open up to all his information.

OK  Just found out he lives in VT and I'm in Pittsburgh. Clearly new to the game. I just texted him (hopefully it's a cell number. 

I assume that he needs to cancel the sale and get a refund. If he wants these, I can start a new sale with shipping added to the cost.

Why not simply cancel, citing reason as "problem with buyer's address"? Message the buyer and explain why. 

Local pickup items are not supposed to be paid with Paypal, but when the buyer comes to pick up the item.

Why assume it's a cell number? I usually give out my home number before my cell. And if you cancel you will still pay the Paypal fee.

Most people don't even have a landline any more. The percentage of US households with a landline dropped below 50% in 2017.

Message them through eBay and CALL the phone number. Not everyone attaches their cell phone. I sure don't. Also not everyone that has a cell phone texts.

As far as I know, when you text a landline, the landline doesn't ring and the texting phone has no notification the message wasn't delivered.

The few times I accidentally sent a text to a landline it was converted to speech and the recipient was Robo called. The friends I sent them to called me and asked what kinda creepy call was that... not sure what happened to the fax line I texted but some of those do have a speaker and could possibly start talking to you in the middle of the night. I just looked it up and the service seems to be carrier-specific.

Anyways I use a free Google Voice number for eBay, any calls that come in get transcribed from speech to text then along with the actual voicemail is sent to my email address.
