Just got scammed

I just got scammed. I ordered a samsung s8 Plus from the seller and when I received the pckage, it was a battery pack. I tried to contact the seller he said that it's not the item he shipped. I opened the case tho.

I tried to contact the seller again and he said I've violated the policy cause I used my paypal acc that based in Indonesia (I'm from Indonesia btw) to pay for the item here in CA and having it shipped to my address in CA. Please help what should I do now?

It doesnt matter, what he bought was totally different than what he got. Like two totally different kinds of items

Re: Just got scammed

I really thought it doesn't matter too since what I got was a battery pack.

For $800 I would file a Not as Described refund request and as soon as it's approved drop the item in a $10 overnight envelope back to the seller.  Call eBay and get it closed asap.

No such thing as $10 overnight envelope. OP will get a USPS return service label. He can't call ebay and get the case closed ASAP, that is NOT how it works.

Thats correct. Some on the boards don't know the rules and how things work and make up their own rules or something. Once you ask ebay to step in, you'll either be told to return for a full refund & given a label OR you'll get a refund without having to return the battery. If you ask ebay to step in then your refund will be automatically issued once the tracking shows the item was delivered to the seller. No need to call ebay.

Very accurately and diplomatically stated. This thread is the most confusing hodgepodge of conflicting and well intentioned suggestions I've seen in, well, ever. Thank goodness for those of you  responding who actually have things right. Good luck to the OP in figuring out the difference. LOL

...also you did not tell me that the item was listed as “for parts or not working” ...through entire conversation I thought that the item was new.

I can still try to help you with this case. There are few more ways to prove who put the battery inside the box ...it is up to you!

Re: Just got scammed

Stop listening to toc460. Since you got an item that isn't what you ordered continue your claim. I
If eBay denies your claim, come back here for help

Its almost certain that they will allow the cliam and have you return the battery pack for a refund

IT DOESN'T MATTER. Ebay will almost certainly allow the OP to send it back and get a refund. The buyer wins 99.99% of the time on ebay
