I can easily prove that the item I received today doesn't work, by using video. Is there a way to show video as "evidence," so to speak?

you dont need to prove anything, as was explained to you. As far as I know, neither Ebay nor PP accepts videos of proof of anything, they can be doctored.

No need ebay generally takes buyer's word

I can see why some seller's are sour about ebay's return policy. I do think buyers should show the problem. I know that I am telling the truth which is why I want to post a video, but someone could just as easily just lie. What if I upload to youtube and post a link?

Ok. Well maybe I will just mention that I do have this in case they want to see it. I know that I don't "have to." I guess it just bothers me to not show the proof, because I am well aware that some people take advantage of sellers and I never want to be seen as that kind of person.

You don't have to convince eBay of anything; you just need to return the item within the return period and provide tracking to show its return. The seller refunds you after that.
if you think there's any possibility that you might be doing something wrong in trying to use it, or something like that, you could certainly send the seller a video link in case they can help you with it, but videos are not accepted as evidence of anything in case of a dispute, because there's no way to show the greater context of what happened either before or after the video was made.

Why would you do that?

Some?
More like most.
In my experience it is about 4 out of 7 returns that are fraudulent, on a bad month 5 out of 7
