I'm hoping to sell some items in the near future as an individual, not related to my business. It's been a while since I last sold items on ebay and I've had trouble finding an answer to the question I have, so I hope this is the right place.
I'm live n a rural area and don't have a mailbox out front, so I use the post office for both sending and receiving mail. (Including "last mile" services from non-USPS shipments.) Because I'm disabled and largely housebound, I am only able to make it to the post office about once a week, if the weather permits it. I worry that this would be an issue for the people who might buy the items I plan to list, since today's fast paced world has become so normalized.
Would it be acceptable to make this information part of my store page/terms or if this would be breaking some rule or community standard? What is the best way to make sure people would see the slower shipping schedule before they make a purchase?
Thank you

Hi @morgueanna . As others mentioned, you can set your preferred handling time on the listing form. eBay offers options for: same day or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 business days
You may want to use a 7 or 10 business day handling time so you have a cushion if you cannot ship on the same day every week.
Here's eBay's page about handling time:

Since you'd be coming on as a new (returning) seller, see below for some helpful links you should review before listing anything.
New sellers are targets for scammers that will make fake offers and try to get you to text or email them outside of eBay. Keep messaging on eBay and if you have any more questions come back and ask.

You can change your handling time in your shipping rules. This allows you the extra time to get to the post office. I would also add that in your description of the item.
Good luck

You can set your handling time anytime up to 30 days.
Mention in your listings that you only able to ship once a week so they'll understand the long handling time.

eBay changed it from 30 business days to 40 business days about 2 years ago.
Info is on the policy page about presales if you want to verify my statement, or you can just look at the listing form to see the 40 day option. 🙂
