Did you mean:

I entered a shipment as 1st class, but now it weighs more than 1 lb.

Label has printed, ebay assumes it's shipped, and I don't know how to change shipment method. This is free shipping, so I have to figure the cost. Thanks.

You have to input weight and size (if Priority... over 16oz)- and that gets done BEFORE you print; so how did you print before you input that info?

If you put 1 lb 2 oz. a shipping label for 1st Class would not even process much less print..

You don't need to figure the cost.  Just void the original label and purchase a new label, for Priority Mail.  When you enter the accurate weight, eBay will take care of figuring the postage cost for the label. You can void an unused eBay postage label up to 5 days after purchase.

Or you could just go ahead and ship the item, using that label.  USPS has special equipment at its sorting centers to verify postage (package weight and dimensions) which will just charge you the difference between the paid postage and what you should have paid.

Just mailing it with the postage paid might or might not work. Under paid packages have been known to arrive at buyers home with postage due. Void the wrong label and print corrected one. Can take up to 15 day to see refund on voided label.

@rgc1600 You can still correct this. Void the first label, you won't be charged because it wasn't used but make sure you void it. Then just purchase the correct label and you can ship your item today. Sometimes our errors cost us a bit but that's how we learn from them. Best of luck to you....

Re: I entered a shipment as 1st class, but now it weighs more than 1 lb.

its fairly easy to cancel a label....I usually do it right after I have printed a new one

you can go the the orders tab in seller hub and they have a label section there

you can see all the labels there and just cancel the one you dont want

be sure to input the new tracking number into the order details

or attach the existing shipping label that you have already paid for and take the package to PO and pay the difference at the counter.

I saw this because I just did the same thing just now

So basically everything will be ok if I just bring the wrong label to the post office and just pay the difference so it would be the correct weight?

Re: I entered a shipment as 1st class, but now it weighs more than 1 lb.

You would also be switching from First Class to Priority.  And you'd probably be charged the retail rate for the Priority postage. I have never tried to upgrade a shipping label a the PO so I don't know if it's even possible.

IMHO it would be better to void the label and purchase a correct one. Or as noted above just mail it and let the APV system bill you.

I agree with nobodysperfect - void the label on this page and purchase a new label @oldschoolmusclecars.

No. Void your current label and print a correct one. Using a 1st class label and then trying to pay the difference at the counter is asking for trouble. Matter of fact, they probably wouldn't even do it because you are then switching mailing classes but using a 1st class label/tracking number.
