Fedex "delivered" a package WITHOUT a signature that REQUIRED a signature... Seller won't refund.

So I bought an item over $750 and the seller sent it via FedEx Ground and required a signature (as they should since its over $750). I was home all day long with my door open and was even washing my car outside waiting for Fedex to come. I also have several cameras pointed at my door. Well Fedex says the item was delivered without a signature.... the delivery time was also when I was outside washing my car... I don't know how they managed to do this when a Signature was required for it. I've talked to several fedex workers and they can't explain it either, the driver clearly found a way around the system.

The seller is trying to stiff me, they were all understanding till I followed their request with starting a claim on eBay. Then they started lying through their teeth and trying to tell ebay it was a "confirmed" delivery and they have a "case opened with Fedex" ( I have a case opened with Fedex and they still don't know what happened and have no idea how this was "delivered without a signature"). The seller is clearly lying.

I also have a POLICE REPORT with the serial number of the item and the documentation from Fedex clearly showing on their tracking info that they "Left package on porch" even though it needed to be signed.

I know it says delivered... but a signature was required and Fedex never got one fir it and left it anyways. This is definitely a weird situation. I know other posts that have similar stories but I think this one is very unique and I'm worried that the seller is going to stiff me with this, especially since they seem to have a complete change of attitude and character towards the situation after I filled a claim of INR via eBay

That's it, you did a perfect presentation of your case. Save the eBay's rep name handy plus time of your call

Seller needs to payoff in full. I feel bad for the Seller but this was a high value item and no place to cut corners in shipping costs

If this package was insured for an extra $10, none of this was necessary, insurance would have paid off

How could the insurance have paid off when the pkg shows as delivered?

Ask FedEx to pull up the location tracking scanner of exactly where they dropped the package off. They have GPS on all deliveries

Why? That's Seller's job. Buyer has nothing to worry about. Buyer is good as paid

If Package is not insured, Seller could file a lawsuit against Fedex for not having a signature on file. That's if Seller purchased an extra service for signature. Well, good luck with that! Because  Fedex isn't required to have a signature on file due to COVID fears. All driver has to do is sign 'C-19' on package delivery, drop it on  porch and all done

Seller needs to contact Fed Ex and get the GPS scan of where the package was dropped off to support their case. Fed Ex knows EXACTLY where these packages are left becuase they all scan the last drop off location with a GPS scanner. I know becuase I use Fed Ex all the time and they always can tell me where the item was dropped off.

FedEx supposedly changed their COVID protocols recently and are now requiring that drivers get a signature. They still may not be doing that with individual drivers.

The seller must show that the package was delivered to your address on file with ebay.

That's the problem though, absolutely no signature of any kind was obtained. They just "left it on the porch", the documents state this and there's no "C-19" signature. Also I'd like to point out that the delivery address and location are completely blank on the pdf file when you click on "Obtain Proof of Delivery" .... so that's a red flag for me as well.

Because the delivery wasn't completed with a signature. It can say delivered all it wants to but without a signature... there's no verification that I got it. If someone had signed for it then yes, that would be a completed delivery.

They don't have that information either, believe me I have called and called. This is some super sketchy stuff the more I get to thinking about it. Things aren't adding up and the seller isn't communicating with me very well and they are flat out lying to eBay on some issues. They're responses are less that a full sentence. I feel like if I were the seller I would be showing a little more anxiety about the situation, you know. They just don't seem to care at all. And they're failing to provide documentation for things that they're claiming. I have an entire USB folder on my computer with all my documents of what has happened.

I am talking in general, for those comments pertaining paying or asking for signature is a solid status. It is not anymore post COID. Procedures have changed

Obviously, your case is different. Package either got mislabeled or delivered to wrong address

In either way, you're not at fault. Seller needed to insure the package so, Seller would have been covered now

You're %100 covered because Fedex never showed up at your door

...wonder if that driver delivered your package anywhere at all...

Maybe he delivered it TO HIS HOUSE.

I put nothing past anyone anymore...

What's the WEIGHT and dimensions of the package @winterlands39 as shown at the FedEx website?

3lb and 17x12x4 inches… what’s strange is he created 4 shipping labels and only one was for the laptop. So I’m looking at 4 tracking numbers and only one is used for my package. Makes me think he was doing something with these shipping labels… like why did he have to create 4 of them.

He could have had a mistake somewhere on the label, wrong service picked or the label misprinted. Four labels is a bit unusual. Two maybe three I get. I have had to void a label and print a new one because of something missing like not putting insurance on it or wrong service.
