Fellow eBay sellers,
Be aware of FedEx. I recently received numerous cost adjustments from them, totaling over $100. I believe they are intentionally doing this to take advantage of eBay sellers, or possibly other online sellers, to increase their profits.
I am switching to UPS. If you continue to use FedEx, don't just drop off your packages and leave. Always ask the FedEx clerk for a receipt of your packages with the weight and dimensions for your records, even with prepaid shipping labels.
I have attached some images. FedEx's reported weights of my packages are inaccurate. I believe there is potential for a class-action lawsuit against FedEx. I hope it happens!

I just had this same thing with FedEx. Selling a lot of eBay since Covid (selling since late 2004). I have shipped plenty with FedEx during this time. Suddenly I am hit with a $32 adjustment over a hollow resin 21" statue they claim is 26 pounds, and it was checked at 13 pounds twice in their process. Then now I am hit with shipping a plate they claim is 11 pounds.
I think it is no coincidence that after many years and not one single instance of this I have been hit twice. My last two FedEx shipments I have recorded the box with label in 4k with it being weighed and with the sticker on it.
Currently I am removing FedEx from every one of my listings.

I have numerous unexplained fedex adjustments too, including another one today and cannot figure out why. Every box sent to the NE part of the country Fedex got a double cost adjustment for no reason. I contacted ebay and was told it was my fault but, its still does not calculate when EBay shipping calculator still comes up with the original price I paid with the shipping dimensions fedex verified. How can I get these Fixed? Mike

It most likely is not your fault, @mikesautodeals, so many of us have just been hit with hundreds of dollars of adjustments on a weight that FedEx itself confirms was the same as the weight we reported. You need to have the eBay agent add you to the list of users that experienced this error, so they can refund you those charges - as they told me it would happen.

It appears that FedEx is not honoring the eBay rate shipping discounts. Shipping costs are being adjusted to in store rates. I pass the eBay rate shipping discounts on to my buyers. I have had four changes recently $18.45 changed to $50.25, $14.89 changed to $29.76, $15.72 changed to $31.81 and $11.65 changed to $23.19. These were not high dollar sales and resulted in a loss of $2.04 on an item that sold for $19.99, earnings of $6.08 on an item that sold for $49.99, earnings of $25.43 on an item that sold for $49.99 and a loss of $10.19 on an item that sold for $3.99. This is $74.30 that was STOLEN from me. I sold $123.96 in product and made $19.28 in earnings. I have several other items that I recently shipped via FedEx. I asked eBay to decline to honor FedEx shipping adjustments until this is corrected. Let’s see if they can handle that.

Still getting massive cost adjustments to my FEDEX shipments as of today. I am shutting off FEDEX as an option for shipping until a solution is found. I've had a lot of money taken from me because of this. I can't afford this with my thin profit margins.

I just called eBay Customer service, they asked for the item numbers of the effected labels and added them to some list to be reviewed by eBay to verify the overcharged amounts by FedEx. Said if/ when approved, a refund will be issued in 5-14 business days. We shall see

This JUST happened to me. I normally never use FedEX but they had really good prices recently. I just got hit with $168. Every single package I shipped with them got charged extra. I will be making a complaint tomorrow as well.

How do you call ebay customer service? I spent over an hour trying to find a phone number and came up empty handed.

How did you call ebay customer service? I can`t find a phone number or any way to contact them other than a useless virtual assistant.

"Beware of FedEx" is an understatement!

Not sure if people realize, but FedEx also charges a higher rate for home delivery than to a business. Ebay may have had negotiated rates for all of us similar to the business-to-business rate, but if FedEx is now defaulting everything to "in-store" rates, I'm sure they are calculating that at the FedEx Home rate, which is much higher.

Currently there are no promised corrections....hopefully, however, ebay will honor the credits and get this figure out. But as of now, nothing has been determined as "wrong"
