Excluding one listing from EIS - did I do this right?

I have a DVD set that says it has a US federal exporting restriction due to its content about firearms. I want to be as sure as possible that I only sell it to a US accountholder.

I made a "business policy" with applicable shipping country exclusions and picked that policy for the listing. Will this indeed exclude all buyers outside the US?

Not necessarily since the Business Policies is a fancy word for 'auto bot system' and since you probably listed that item under DVD's and not Weapons (or close).

You can just 'exclude all the countries (check them all)' for that particular item in that item, and not use Business Policies

OK thanks, that makes more sense and I was waiting to clarify before listing. ‌👍

The "best answer" is not correct @deals_by_kathyw . Excluding all countries on the listing or on the business policy is the same action and it's only half the process.

Your setting on this page is equally as important:

https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf/excludeRegions

You have to both exclude locations (either on biz policy or on listing) and you have to change the setting on that page to not allow eIS to override your exclusions - the default setting. Make sure the toggle is gray, not blue, then save.

Darn, sorry, I was in a hurry and meant to just mark it as a helpful answer, not the best one. grimacing  Thanks, I definitely missed that account setting (urghhh it's so hard to tell what's redundant or not anymore). 👍
