I have been shopping on ebay for a few years and kept my purchases cheap because I always suspected that the whole ebay-paypal relationship to be a deniability hustle.
So it finally happened, I bough a pair of police suspenders, they arrived broke, they approved a refund, I was called out of the state and lost track of time so I returned them a day or so late.
ebay promptly closed my case under the direction of the seller and now the seller is keeping my cash and the item.
I called ebay and they said no problem call pay pal...pay pal doesn't answer the phone or return email.
nice hustle...happy I never spent any real money on this **bleep** site.

You didn't follow a single rule you should have. Not only did you not return by the stated deadline, you then returned the item after the return was closed. How is that eBay or Paypal's fault? I would think you could still open a case on Paypal and get a refund though as long as you have tracking.....

For other buyers @usernameboer eBay has been refunding despite late returns.

The nicest way @usernameboer to feign innocence back, if your funds came from a credit card, is to website or call your card issuer and file a chargeback using the reason Goods Returned, Credit Not Issued and providing your tracking number. Your seller will pay your full refund, a chargeback settlement fine, and all fees eBay and PayPal.

You’re crying over $15? You didn’t follow one single rule just eat the loss and be a man. But I bet you’re going to continue crying and wasting your time which obviously has no value so you can get your $15 back. Here’s a great idea, go do a chargeback for $15 as it seems like it’s the end of the world for you. But I bet you don’t even have any credit at all...

It was a grand total of 3 days late. I shipped it b4 the last day.
This is a piece of police equipment not fresh fruit.
I called ebay and had an "extension" approved, then called "pay pal" (that should be ebays job) they never answer the phone return calls or emails!

I work as ranger and often do not have access to the internet...tried 2x to call and sent several emails over the last few weeks.
I am used to Amazon's coustomer service...contacting PayPal should be ebays job.
It's legal...i just won't shop here again.

Sounds like a great idea except my tracking number is missing from my order on ebays website.
Good hustle

Your talking to a pro heavyweight cagefighter who works in public safety.
I don't cry.
This is about principal not money.
That's the difference between a real man and a snowflake.

I was NOT refunded.
The seller has kept the item and my cash
They contacted ebay and had the case closed on the 1st opportunity.
Despite having my contact info ebay or PayPal did not warn me the case was closed.
This is like stealing someone's parking place, it's legal but low and dirty.
EBay the seller and PayPal followed all their rules and snaked me for a pittance of 15$
What MORONS!
AMAZON WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED THE RETURN A MONTH LATE AND PROB GIVEN ME A GIFT CARD.
The item arrived broken was sent back 3 days late classy way to treat a 1st responder dealing with a hurricane

Ebay doesnt make exceptions to their rules, even for a cage fighter, first responder, and ranger.

Due your lack of understanding of the rules, that would be for the best

So you're a ranger, a first responder, a pro cage fighter and you deal with hurricanes...no wonder you don't have time to actually return things on time

Plus I live in a remote location that doesn't have internet access I only have a chance to shop online when I am at base and it's a slow day.
Also I did return this item on time, it arrived over the limit by just a few day.
I am just used to Amazon's fantastic coustomer service...i never had a problem with ebay untill now and this seller was aware that they were selling a broken item.
