Ebay ruled against my claim with insufficient evidence

Bought cat food from a seller and it was about 10 days overdue, so I filed a "not received" claim.  Seller "furnished" proof it had been delivered to my address.  Tracking just shows the packaged was delivered on June 13 to Raleigh, NC (about 120 miles away), and 2 hrs later to Rose Hill, NC (my town), with absolutely no street address for either delivery.  I never got it.  I presently have 2210 purchases on Ebay with a 100% positive feedback. Ebay ruled in favor of the seller, who was horrible.  I'm currently in the process of closing my account.  Too many other good places to buy items.

Don't understand how a packaged showed delivery to Raleigh, NC and then showed delivery to Rose Hill, NC, but not your address.

Did you check delivery with your carrier? If your carrier can supply evidence that delivery was not made to the eBay provided address (your address) you should be able to appeal the case. I have heard some carriers have the GPS location for delivery.

Re: Ebay ruled against my claim with insufficient evidence

Because you have no evidence.

Ebay will make a decision based on the evidence and the evidence shows it was successfully delivered to your town.

Now you can try to go to the carrier and ask if your address matched. They typically won't give you specifics becsuse you didn't purchase the label, the seller did.

If you can get a statement from the carrier that the item didn't go to you then you should appeal with actual evidence.

Everything that happened seems to be how it's supposed to happen.

Re: Ebay ruled against my claim with insufficient evidence

Totally wrong.  I have purchased more than 2000 items on Ebay, and every delivery will show it was to my street address, and some carriers will also take a photo of the package at my location.  This item just showed delivery to my town, no street address or photo.  You didn't read my original comment(s).  There were actually 2 different delivery locations shown, one in Raleigh, NC, about 2 hours before it showed being delivered to my town (120 miles away).  Neither location showed any street addresses or specifics.  Again, you did not read my post.  Ebay has since refunded my purchase price.

Re: Ebay ruled against my claim with insufficient evidence

I have shipped over 500,000 packages as a seller and I have never seen tracking show an actual street address. Just a state, town and zipcode

I have been doing this since 1997, have over 90,000 feedbacks combined and not once have I had that happen, buying or selling.

Appeal the outcome of a case as a buyer | eBay

Worth a try.

So what happened? Did the carrier say that they made a mistake? Did you ever receive the cat food? What carrier was it?

I read your original post and now I'm curious as to how it all worked out, and I'm glad that you were refunded!
