I shipped 3 of the same item through UPS Ground. I shipped last Friday, and it said delivery would be between the 7th to the 13th. One of them was to be delivered to Texas while another was to New York, with both giving that same time frame of delivery. However, at the time of this posting on the 12th, the order that was to arrive in Texas just NOW got there... and it hasn't even been delivered yet. If the one in Texas just now got there, and it isn't even registered as delivered yet, how is the one shipped to New York supposed to be delivered tomorrow? I'm worried that the order is going to arrive extremely late, and the buyer is either going to ask for a refund before it arrives or give negative feedback for it arriving so late. Had I known the order may arrive way past the max delivery date it specified on the shipping label page, I wouldn't have chosen UPS Ground. What exactly am I supposed to do?

There have been a lot of shipping delays. As long as the tracking shows the packages are in route, no need to worry. You have 30 says from the last given delivery date to file an item not received case. Don't wait until the last day to be safe. File on about day 26.
As long as the packages show they are in transit, you should be in good shape.

I don't really understand how that relates to me as the seller. Couldn't the buyer just immediately open a case the moment the last given delivery date passes and I would have no choice but to refund them if they ask? And even if the package finally arrives late, wouldn't it still look bad on me as the seller for it arriving late, even if it was out of my control?

As a seller, first don't contact the buyer and give them any ideas. eBay does advise buyers about shipping delays and often holds off INR cases if the package tracking shows it's in route.

Yes, UPS ground can take that long, even longer. As a buyer I've had UPS Ground take 10-12 days. Still faster than Fedex Stupidpost by a country mile.

I'm not sure where or when the delivery estimate of May 7-12 was displayed, especially since you indicated you shipped Friday (which was the 7th). If you track on ups.com you'll see the scheduled delivery date.

When on the page of creating the shipping label and choosing the service you want, on the right of each choice it shows the estimated delivery dates. I meant to originally say 10th to the 13th, but I can't edit the reply again.
