Cheapest and/or Best way to ship giant stuffed animals/plush

I won both of these at my local fair at a game that I'm really good at.  So far, I've tried listing them on craigslist and letgo (I would try offerup, but I was banned from their services for no reason) for $49.  So far, no one has contacted me letting me know they want them, though I got a favorite for the Unicorn on Letgo, so I'm thinking of selling these on eBay possibly because I could get more potential buyers.

What service would you recommend for me to use to ship these as cheap as possible?  I called Fedex, and depending what zone it goes, it would be around $38-53 to ship unicorn.  Keep in mind, the unicorn is around 10 lbs, and I assume the teddy bear weighs even less.  I'm willing to put these in a plastic bag if it will save me money.

I would not sell those on eBay as the shipping would be too expensive. The shipping charge is determined by both weight and dimensions.  Any dimension over 12 inches becomes an over size package.

Vacuum sealed inside a poly bag? Then ship them cubic based on the size of the bag you use.

Even if I only profit like $25, it likely beats meeting up with some sketchy stranger.

Wouldn't that damage the toy? Smoosh it all up and make it wrinkly? I'd ship a plush in a box, and something that big I wouldn't even consider shipping due to the DIM weight pricing.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Not for the small amount of time the toy would be smooshed up in the bag.

My only concern would be if the vacuum seal let loose. I've had it happen. It wasn't pretty.

why would you think a buyer of a stuffed toy would be any sketchier than someone selling one?If a profit of $25 is all you need  sell it cash so no fee locally for that

I can just see a parcel service worker watching a box slowly rip apart by a giant stuffed unicorn ............

The $38-53 would be the initial rate quoted, then there very well could be double(or more) that amount charged when the actual monthly eBay invoice arrives with the actual FedEx charge.

@gerv_jaco   Offer them on eBay for Local Pick up only ... any parties who are REALLY interested and willing to pay shipping will contact you and ask.  At that point you can give them some pricing and add Calculated shipping if you want.

Here's my caution on something that costs that much to ship ... if the Buyer changes their minds and processes a SNAD return claim then you will pay the return shipping, which I suspect will pretty much eat your profit despite the fact that you expertly and skillfully won them ...

Be sure to check in to the cost of the box that size. That would be added on to the mailing cost. If it was me, I would list them on ebay as local pick up only, no mailing.  You could meet them in a public place.

Edit: forgot to mention. I live in Southern Coastal California, and I guess people aren't willing to pay as much for these items as they would in the rest of the country due to the cost of space. That's why I'm probably more motivated to sell on Ebay than most of you.

First I find that offensive to the sellers here that are trying to help you! We are all MOTIVATED.

Secondly, have you ever thought of donating them to children that would love to get these? After all they cost you next to nothing since you won them at a carnival game. There are many places you could donate them and put a huge smile on some children's faces.
