Can a package be sent using the same eBay shipping label twice, or is the label invalidated as soon as it is scanned by USPS? I want to print out a duplicate of a shipping label I used a while ago to return a second item to an eBay seller, rather than printing out the new shipping label. I am a buyer, if that's not clear yet.

Oddly enough I just did this. I put the same label on 2 packages. Both were scanned with no error noted from the PO. One of them got delivered I have no idea how to tell if the other did or if it is coming back to me. Since I have to refund this buyer I would hope they tell me if they get their actual item. The buyer whos label I did not use by accident is being cool and waiting for the other to return it so I can sent it to him with his unused label (I save my labels for reference only so lucky I did because after so many days ebay will not let you reprint it, again this other label has never been used so it is not fraud. However the one I used twice I am not sure how that got past the counter let alone into the system where I cannot track it as they both had same tracking #. Any suggestions on what I can do to try and recover the item that wasn't delivered (or if it was I guess I am sol and the buyer is lying).

Your first buyer got both packages, and nothing is coming back.
It's OK at the counter because the same package can be scanned again, like if the clerk forgot it was already scanned because they were talking to you, and even if it's a different weight the second time, or not sitting on the scale at all.
You will need to refund the second buyer.

Yes, but I was referring to completely fraudulent postage where you would scratch out the old mailing address and replace it with an entirely unrelated address for non-eBay mailing purposes. I would think that you probably wouldn't get caught, but it's not worth the risk...
