Had someone hit a BIN, pay for the item, then say they thought they were buying something else. The excuse was completely **bleep**, and since I had already packed it and don't accept returns, I denied the request. They stated in a message that they're gonna return it. I called eBay and they said that since there is evidence, not to worry and they'll deny it. Ok, but what about Paypal? I expect them to claim Item Not As Described. I'm taking pics and video, but I want to avoid Paypal holding or pulling the money in the first place.

You said "I had already packed it." Did you also ship before getting the request?
By the way, pictures and videos do nothing for you with either ebay or PayPal.

By the way, pics helped me win a case, so you are wrong.
No, of course i didn't ship.

No matter what the CS rep said on the phone, if the buyer returns it, they will force you to refund. There is nothing you can do to prevent it. You will have a great deal more hassle if you try to fight this and the result will be the same.

Since I refused his cancellation, I can't change anything now. I can refund him through Paypal, but nothing on eBay.

You might want to read the Ebay Money Back Guarantee policy.
No returns does NOT mean no returns.
You would have had a lot less trouble had you just accepted the buyers request to cancel.

Since you didn't ship, why did you not cancel? That would be the best and easiest thing to do.
As for the pictures, believe what you want.

That's just not a good way to deal with this issue. You are vaguely right in the initial rant, but handling it as you did is very wrong in the big picture. Trying to force buyers to do things isn't in your best interest.

Given what you've written, I would say that this is potentially harmful advice from eBay Customer Service. If the eBay Customer Service rep had a Far East accent, please be warned that these eBay Customer Service representatives mislead sellers all the time (countless examples) ... typically ending up in a very bad outcome. I don't know why they give harmful advice - insufficient training, saying what you want to hear to get you off the phone, a culture of lying - but the pattern is frequent.
Do not ship this item. Cancel the sale at the buyers request. There are all sorts of reasons why you want to end this transaction now before it gets potentially worse for you.

Totally agree...if it's not dropped at the post office, void your label and cancel the order. If you aren't happy with the buyer, just add them to your BBL.

This isn’t correct. If the return is closed, it’s closed. eBay isn’t going to force a refund. The return is closed. Sending it back without eBay or seller approved is an authorized return. The buyer will have to file with PayPal of the seller doesn’t refund.

Can you quote the sentence in the OP saying the return is closed?
We sometimes say people don't read the OP.

If you won a case with pictures you would have won the case without them.

This is exactly why you should not have shipped. You were just asking for trouble, IMHO
Also, your later post about relying on pictures .. never heard of that really working for anyone.

If you haven't shipped yet don't. Cancel as buyer requested. Never a good idea to force anything on buyers. They have too much power on ebay. If you shipped wait for them to receive it and see if they open a case. If they do just accept the return. It's your best chance of getting your item back in good shape. Fighting the return means you will probably lose, get a defect on your account, maybe have a rock returned to you. Even if you win they can still go to paypal and file a claim or their charge card company. It could get ugly. Best of luck.
