What does this mean and can you only access these boards if you agree?

I tried to access the Community forums but every time have been blocked by this message:

When you agree you're letting us share your eBay account data witheBay Community, and you're letting eBay Community act on your behalf on eBay, as described in their terms of service.

What does this really mean?  Are you all granting them access??  I am confused.  I do not want eBay to act on my behalf and do not want to give them any more power. 

Will wait for your responses and before deciding if I want to opt out.

I did a search, couldnt find anything. I put in "access these boards" as key words.

As you can see, you were able to post here, read, and reply.

If you grant the permission asked for, your Avatar, Feedback Score, and "View Listings" will appear with your user ID.  As you can see by my post, I gave the permission and all those things show.  Most of the regulars on these boards, and most newcomers, have given permission.   I cannot explain the technical details to you, but this solved a months-long problem where those elements did not appear, and the fix has something to do with the Khoros servers accessing tghe eBay servers.

I have kept a close eye on things since granting persmission and I have not seen a single problem or had any difficulties of any kind.

There is a long thread about this on a board that only a small number of people can access.  Sheila has been notified.  It’s something that happened with Khoros when we got the feedback scores, listings, and avatars back after their long absence.

you may be talking about a different thread, but the Community Platform Feedback Board is accessible to all.

All of these threads appear on the Share Community Platform Feedback board and all of them are accessible to every Community member.

Did you agree to the new terms and agreements page?
