Hi everyone,
First of all, I wanted to say thank you for your patience while we work on resolving platform issues. We’re currently collaborating with many internal folks as well as partnering with our Community provider to resolve these difficult issues.
Here are the list of issues on my radar:
I would love to have a perfectly working platform where community users never run into issues and have to come up with workarounds or try over and over to sign in. This isn’t an acceptable experience. These issues aren’t easy to resolve and are taking time to resolve, I promise I’m keeping an eye on all these issues and have been and will continue to push our partner to resolve these issues.
Going forward, I’ll start posting a status on these issues on a weekly basis. Even if I have nothing to report, I’ll let you know. If there are more issues that the Community members uncover, I’ll add them to my list.
Thank you for your patience.

Still getting a number of UK questions.....
It has been almost a year and I still can't C&P Ebay policies into a post. I still get the flooding errors.

I'll never understand how these contracts works.......looks like the contractee (who pays the bills) has absolutely no leverage........ I know Khoros is a big company servicing alot of websites.......and maybe there's no one else that wants to do the moderation work or something. Live world didn't have this much trouble with the actual working of the website.......

IDK, I'm not sure they are actively working some of the issues that continue to plague the forum for the past year. I know of at least one thing that isn't going to get fixed that Rebecca told us would get fixed and that was putting BACK the thread titles on each post. Last week I found out this isn't happening. I find this extremely annoying for a couple of reasons. The lack of honesty being the biggest. Don't tell us something is going to be fixed when there is no intention to do so or it was decided that it wasn't going to be fixed. We should have been told, not strung along.
I'm thinking some of the other problems that are old are going to fall into the same situation. The redesign of the Community Forum is coming soon and I think many of the fixes we thought would come will never come but they just decided not to tell us in the hopes we'd forget or just get so use to it we wouldn't care.

RATS............that's one thing I really wanted/needed............ so many times I start answering something and get distracted and want to refresh my poor memory on the subject.........
I never could figure out why it was such a big deal not to let us have it.........power play, I guess..........

Because they are of the opinion that the community looks better with wide open spaces. Lots of white background with nothing in it. So they wanted to decrease the clutter as much as possible.
But IMHO taking away something that is as useful as the titles to so many posters is a BAD decision. If they were on the threads as much as the Mentors and others, they would see things differently. I have to go back and forth from a posting to the bell often to refresh my memory on what the particular thread was about or scroll to the top of the thread.
Unnecessary and simply a waste of time.
And that isn't to mention the times I responded something that should have been on a different thread.
I don't get it and I don't like it. But hey we are just the people that use it every day. It is more important they think it looks good. Like the incredibly oversized Ebay banner that is coming in the redesign at the top of the page. Talk about clutter. Their clutter takes up the whole first page when on my desktop coming into the forums. I have to scroll down to find the actual threads.
I could be mistaken, I did think the community was about the various threads and helping one another. Seem to me there is too much advertising coming which is likely to push out and turn off many regulars around here. However that may just be the point.

Hello everyone,
I apologize for falling behind on updating this post with the latest updates on Community issues.
I previously spoke about an audit that we performed in partnership with Khoros where we closely looked at every line of code on the platform. One of the major findings we came across was that the code was very old and not playing well together. The Community team and myself have been busy with implementing some changes that are coming soon to the platform. One of those changes is wiping 90% of the code and having more of an out of box experience. I don't know how this new experience will behave once we go live, but I'm hoping that this will fix a lot of the bugs you are all experiencing.
With that said, I'm closing out this thread and after we go live with the new updates, I'll post a new Community platform status post where I'll track all issues and I'll continue to manage the resolution of these issues. Khoros has assigned a new technical account manager to our project and we're working on a process to engage with the community so we can replicate issues fast so Khoros can resolve issues faster.
My goal is to resolve the issues as fast as possible so you'll have a better Community experience.
