Seeing issues with the new Community platform?

Thank you for helping us catch those bugs! While we did work hard to make sure we caught any issues before we released the new changes to the Community, there might be some issues that we didn’t catch. If you find any issues, please post them only here. The Community team will be actively monitoring this post and we’ll work as fast as we can to get them resolved. No need to @ mention us, if you post here.

 

Be sure to include links to the pages, screenshots, which browser you’re using and other relevant information you can share.

Literally taking one minute to tweak some of the CSS settings, the page could easily be much more readable.

Quick, very rough edit:

Get rid of all the silly white space, and you could actually increase the font to where it's a normal size to read AND fit more on the page.

 

Does anyone actually test these things before deploying them? I find it hard to believe that anyone in internal testing would think the new community is better.... Unless the goal was to make it harder to find posts, and easier for posts to fall off of the front page.

Just another example of an eBay design/improvement done by someone that does not "use" what they are designing.

 

It just is not used friendly.

EXACTLY!

 

Here is what I see initially.

So the vertical bars, on the left, show me what has NOT been read yet.   HOWEVER, once I open just ONE of those unread items, ALL of the items get "marked" or in this case unmarked.  So there is no way to go back and track unread messages!

 

 Here is what I see only seconds after clicking on one item and them going back to the list. See how everything is now unmarked and thus indicating it was "read" when it wasn't!

Can we fix this so that one can track which items have been read and which ones not read?

As @mr_lincoln has stated in his post.  This beautiful format is to accommodate both phone users and computer users.   Are most of us computer users here???  I am.

There's something called "responsive design". It's where the page adapts to different screen sizes appropriately.

 

It seems eBay is not familiar with this topic, as they're trying to use the same interface for both... Rather than having it adapt properly!

eBay seems to be redesigning everything to be "mobile user friendly" .

 

Hopefully they will fix it so that there can be some continuity to a thread instead of the "I wonder what post that response was to".    (I'm just guessing that you were responding about quoting) 😉

I thought about that after I posted. You can't tell who's responding to what. Ugh! Jumped on the laptop to quote. LOL
