Do you remember the last time you used this? Approximate time is all I'm looking for.
There used to be a way to do this from your community profile, but I don't think that is possible any more. That's probably what you remember.
Here's how you can do it now.
- You have to start with a keyword search, so I used "artist" in this example. Very short, generic keywords won't work (like the, it or and). Click enter to run the keyword search.
- Open the drop-down next to "Author".
- Type the user ID you want to search for, then wait until it populates the list.
- Click on the user ID you want from the list.
- When you get the search results, check the sort order. I usually change it to "Date" to put the results into chronological order (most recent first) to make it easier to find what I'm looking for.
I often find that its hard to get results, probably because you have to have the right keyword to start with. Partly because of that, I often find the community search is not very effective.
I sometimes do a google search instead, and include "site:community.ebay.com" to limit the results to hits on the community forum.
Okay, I'll ask support if there's anything we can do to add it back in. Maybe there's a component missing on the backend that I might need to just turn on.
I talked to the TAM and she said that we don't have the option to add search to our profiles. That's too bad. I'm adding this to our idea exchange. Perhaps engineering will pick this up as a future enhancement.
