PM's not working??

Got a PM from a member admiring my cat avatar, but I am not able to respond. It has been some time since I've corresponded with anyone via PM, am I missing something or is there a glitch today? Don't recall ever having to hunt for a response button and sure can't figure out how to respond today.

Yes, but the red envelope "stays closed" and there doesn't seem to be a way to reply.

When I click on your name I see your badges and activity, and I can send a new message, but see no way to actually respond to an open message.

If you open the message, there should be a reply button right next to the cancel button in the botton right corner.  It’s possible the member who contact you has turned their PMs off. Click on their user ID and see if there is a “send message” button.

@missjen831Both IDs do have a "Send Message" button when you click into the ID. I guess the issue must be me expecting that it works like an eBay message??  I'm expecting to see a "reply" button where you can then still see the message that you are replying to in case questions need to be answered. It looks like this is just a case of denseness on my part!

OMG, gone for five days and I guess my brain is still in Palm Springs! If I mouse over then click on the topic line, then I can reply while seeing the sent message. Don't know why it took me so long to figure that out!
