What an improvement to the Private Message feature! We can now experience HTML error SNAFUs there, too!
I replied to a private message and received the HTML error and experience the same complications as we do when posting on a thread--the back and forth and incorrect error messages and the post flooding and all the rest.
I ran my post through an HTML website I've been using since all this trouble has manifested itself on the discussion boards. No go. Didn't work. My message still would not post.
I had copy/pasted some verbiage from another private message, so I took that verbiage out and tried again. This time it posted. Okay, fine, there was obviously something in that copy/paste--even though I had run in through the HTML stripper--that the software didn't like. Fair enough. Whatever.
I then posted that very same verbiage--right from my clipboard--into a new private message and hit "Reply." The message went through just fine, even though it was apparently what had "hung up" the first message, preventing it from being sent.
Just another Community disaster, resulting in the energy being sucked right out of the discussion boards.
