Double spacing when hitting the Enter key when typing

Good afternoon Ladies,

I noticed that when you press the Enter key the next line for typing has an additional line added.   Normal typing will automatically wrap text in a paragraph like you are seeing here with my typing.  However, when I press the (Enter) key the line is ...

... here.  Is this the new typing format norm?  Since learning to type back in high school I am used to pressing Enter twice to move down the page to get the spacing this new feature gets with one use of the Enter key ...

Yep.......I typed each line with a line break.......

but what shows in typing, double line space

ends up with single line space when posted...........
